This unit is small, so great for house parties but not so in like conference rooms or big open rooms. It emits a pretty decent ray of lights across my living room. It has pretty decent variety of patterns/modes. It is easy to install/put together. The remote feels cheap and itbvtakes a couple presses for me to control the unit.I like the intelligent sound/light control where it follows the music/beat.This will be ok for small venue gigs/bars

So this is more appropriate for smaller rooms. I have it in a 20'x40' area and it's slightly large for this light.Having DMX ports makes the difference between a home unit vs one that can potentially be used in semi-professional venues. If you don't use the DMX, the cheapie remote can control the lights manually or by sound but for simple sequences. Overall for the price, it's a decent unit

Decided to have a party at work. I brought in my karaoke machine and these lights. It was so easy to set up the lights in one corner of the office. Lights react to music and come with a remote. It felt like we were in a private nightclub. My bosses loved it and everyone had so much fun. We are even considering monthly karaoke with the lights.

Ever since my son and I came to own our first moving light projection device we’ve been hooked and determined to get one for almost every room. So I didn’t hesitate to order this item. Though in retrospect I wish I had.The machine itself is heavy and seems to be made of high quality materials. It’s easy to mount. I was very disappointed, however, in its array of light designs and colors. It has a very limited combination of images/colors and display modes compared to all of my other (cheaper) products. The remote seems to suggest programmability but I could not easily figure out how to do it. Perhaps that is mostly the effect of the remote not working very well or reliably. Often times it doesn’t work at all. The lights and motion I did succeed in directing it to do were nice, fluid, and bright. But as mentioned above, there wasn’t much I could get it to do at all.

I got this light to use for our summertime parties at the campground. Since we closed the camper up for the season I decided to give this light a trial run in the garage. And WOW.You could get carpel tunnel just having a blast changing light modes on the remote as the music plays. The multiple lighting effects including strobes made my two-car garage look like Friday night at LIV.Fun Fun Fun. That's what these lights are. If you have little kids, full grown kids or even old people that fail to realize that they are old these lights will bring a smile to everyone's face.5 stars. If you entertain you NEED these.

This machine allows you to set the tone for the event and not worry about spending a lot of time figuring out how to make it perfect. It's so lightweight that you could set it nearly anywhere to bounce lights off any walls or area.With marked ports, you can simply place your cords in for sound, power and other port options. The best part is that's as easy as it sounds. Once set up, your remote offers different options to make your sound and lights match as you choose. It's fun without the fuss.Our lights and music unit was used for a holiday party and it was perfect for the group of 10 as we streamed music. I am going to be using this for a kids birthday party too. It just makes the moment a little more special. I was surprised when this light arrived and I saw how small it was. I immediately thought I would be disappointed, but this was a good lesson about not judging an item until you use it! I have some similar lights of this basic shape/design that I use regularly, and this is much smaller (see pic). However, this is a powerful little light. The “disco ball” dome does a good job of spreading light over a large area. But the thing that really makes this shine are the lasers! Since lasers come in small packages, the size doesn’t matter, and the show this puts on is great.If you are looking for a pro DJ light, this will work for you. It is fully DMX controllable, and a pair of them combined with smoke/fog and you will have a great show going on. It would also make a good stage light for a small, traveling band that wants to add some pizzazz to their stage shows without hauling around a huge amount of lighting equipment. These could easily be attached to speaker poles and do some impressive things on a small to medium size stage. It does come with it’s own remote, so if you are a small act and don’t want to spend time programming lights, setting the lights with the remote and letting them do their thing is an easy and viable way to go. Buy a pair of them and go!If you are looking for a light to use at home or a party, buy this right now. You will be impressed with what it can do in such a small package, and the fun will last until your party is over! The size/price/performance ratio is definitely in the buyer’s favor. Plus, it comes with a remote control, so you don’t have to do any programming if you don’t want… just set it to sound activated and enjoy!
