I bought this on a whim and I am so glad that I did! I love this thing the strobe light was accidentally left on for days and it still continued to work which was great! The sounds this thing makes is also awesome!! Perfect cheap Halloween decoration!

Not bad for the price. Not terribly bright but acceptable. The scary boises ok (except hate the electricity one). Wish you could just play one - I like the howling wolf. But for a couple hours once a year it's ok adds to the mood.

Even though this said to use indoors, I used it outdoors under a covered area and it worked well. The light worked well and the noises freaked out some trick or treaters.It would be nice if it had a way to select one noise as opposed to shuffling through all of them. I don’t remember them all now but there is an electricity sound, a wolf, and I think some other eerie things. If I remember correctly, each sound had a specific way the light flashed as well. Again, it would be cool if you could choose one.Nonetheless, I’m glad I bought it, and I do recommend it.

The product did not come with a remote control, and I do wish that the sounds were of better quality... but other than that, I would definitely buy it again. It's small and compact - easy to hide and the kickstand helps prop it up. The brightness is adjustable as well as which sound loop you choose, or you can just have it play all of them. It also gives you the option of playing no sound at all. However, I don't believe you can adjust the volume.

Our place is actually fairly large, so I was skeptical how this little light would work. The unit is super simple to set-up. Put the 3 provided batteries in and turn it on.So, we have a rot iron, fenced landscape area, that runs in front of the garage (fenced to keep the yard dogs from digging everything up). The fence is sort of a banana shape, 7-8 feet from the garage wall at the widest point. After dark I tried the light in a couple of places, using the small trees and shrubs to get an effect. Ended up just setting the light just inside the widest arch area of the fence, pointed towards to garage wall. That area is wide open now after I cut down the Hibiscus that grows there each season.GREAT EFFECT. The kids have to walk ride next to the fence to get to the front door, where a talking skeleton head waits after the strobe light and creepy sounds.

This product worked great for Halloween. I put up an 8 foot scarecrow in our front yard garden bed, and bought a fog machine to go along with the strobe light. It really lit up the fog in a creepy way, and you could hear the sounds just perfectly- loud enough, but not obnoxious for kids trick or treating. Several neighbors wondered over in the dark of night to see the decorations. I found them standing in my yard. They loved the flashing light. You can turn off the sounds if you just want the light, and you can easily adjust how fast the light flashes. I believe it specifies indoor use, but we used it propped up on the ground on Halloween night. It was not raining. It worked exactly as I'd hoped.

Light works well indoors and is easy to figure out the modes. Note that there are two modes of flashing: one to flash in sync with creepy sounds at a rate that simulates lightning/electric shock, and a regular strobe effect without music. The flash rate can only be adjusted for the strobe effect, without sounds, and can be fixed to just stay on (no flashing).Unfortunately, there is no volume knob. I prefer the simulated lightning to the strobe, but don't care for the sound effects, so I actually opened the casing and removed the paper covering the center of the speaker to eliminate the sounds altogether. This paper included a tiny coil at the center that I kept and suspect could maybe jimmy rig back onto the speaker to play again, but I really don't think I will change my mind. Now I have a straight light that I can adjust between lightning, strobe, or to just stay on.Would have given it 5 stars if there was a way to switch between all the light effects with or without sounds, or if it at least had a volume knob.Mine arrived with 3x AA batteries already inside. You will need a Phillips head screw driver to open the battery compartment (and the casing, if need be).

A little small/compact as others have stated, limited options, no sound volume or choice of output. Does allow lighting w/o sound which is good. Product probably best for small areas, not a strong light output but it works though. Go larger for expected performance
