This little fireplace lantern definitely adds a cozy touch to any room — the flame effect is soft and pleasant, and the design looks nice on a shelf or tabletop. It’s compact and lightweight, which makes it easy to move around, and the USB or battery power option is convenient.However, the flame effect isn’t very realistic up close. It’s more like a gentle flicker than a true fire-like illusion, so if you’re expecting something that really mimics a fireplace, you might be disappointed. Also, it’s smaller than I expected — more of an accent light than a statement piece.It’s still a decent decor item for the price, especially if you want something simple and safe for ambiance, but it didn’t quite “wow” me the way I hoped.

The Good: Nice vivid flame pattern. Runs quietly, very light, and fits almost anywhere. USB powered or 3 AA batteries.The Bad: USB powered but not rechargeable, which is sad as there is ample room for a lithium batter. The usb port is slightly askew so getting a good connection can be an hassle. Power switch is simple lever, which is very fragile and the units biggest weak point.Overall: Ordered for my puppets. I can use this as a fireplace or as camp fire if I lay it down. For the price I expected more. As is, I would put this $20 ish.

I had low expectations for this mini fireplace but it has exceeded my expectations. It’s the perfect size for a DIY Play Chimney I made over the holidays. It adds a nice ambiance and mostly noiseless. It has an on/off switch at the band. I appreciate that it takes either batteries or micro-USB plug. I wish it has a remote but other than that, it’s a nice fireplace.

This little mini-fireplace is fun. It does not have a heating function at all, it is just for looks. It can plug into your USB port right on your laptop. The cord is not very long, so you will need to have a spot right by your laptop or USB port. It flickers in a realistic way. It does make a bit of noise, but it is not too bad, just noticeable.
