Within a minute you can be tweaking hinges with this tool. As other pictures show, there are 4 sizes here and the 2 pieces slide loosely together. Quality is good enough to do the job but if I needed this everyday I might look to see what else is available. One attachment end does seem correct for residential type door hinges and works well if you have an uneven gap on the hinge side vs the latch side. Though simple enough, I think its important to analyze what is happening with a door that may be out of alignment. It may not be a matter of bending the hinge but something else. I was able to improve the situation with one old closet door very quickly but on another door, I realized there is a different adjustment needed. The tool is very simple and yes some paint may come off and its possible to mar the hinge with the tool. It has other larger ends and I have a purpose for those with a commercial application involving locking secure cabinets and much heavier hinges. In this instance the all around welding on the tool end seems reasonable because of the stress that may be required to shift heavier hinges. I will add to this once I get to place the tool on a larger hinge.

I tried this on my bathroom door that is tight at the bottom side of the hinge so it rubs. It did tweak the hinge but I think my problem is more that the trim wood at the bottom has swelled out a bit so it rubs so hinge tweaking isn't going to help this issue.I have some other doors that are a little off and eventually I'll try it on them and see what happens and update. It really is a nice kit that IF just bending the hinge a bit will fix your issues it will come in handy and it's well made.

This product is very well made. It's heavy duty and substantial. The leverage bar applies ample pressure and the grip makes it comfortable to use. I used it on a 4" exterior door hinge and in less than 30 seconds the door was back in alignment. The only negative (not a major issue) there were no instructions included. Unlike a hammer or screwdriver, this does require a little practical knowledge to use. Fortunately, there are plenty of videos on line to guide a first-time user.

Great tool, lots of adapters, I just wish there was one more smaller size. We have a mobile home that needed all the doors adjusted so we did our front and back (standard hinges, worked with the smallest provided head) but the bedroom doors were just a little outside the range.Good quality cast metal tool, rubber grip, and easy in/out for the adapter heads.

This hinge adjustment wrench is easy to use and very sturdily made; just simply find the head that fits over your hinge and then insert the wrench body onto it to make your adjustments. I quickly fixed a door that was giving me issues, and it took all of about 20 seconds. Great value for the money and the various sized heads should fit just about any hinge. I also appreciate that it comes with a nice, zippered case to keep everything organized. I recommend this item.

Really great door hinge alignment set in very nice zipper case with elastic holding strips for individual pieces. This is my first experience with a hinge alignment tool, so I cannot compare with other hinge alignment tools. I tried the smallest insert on my home's residential door hinges and used it enough to see how it works. I will adjust doors as they require. There are three other larger sized inserts for a variety of door hinge sizes, including commercial door hinges. The only reason I did not give five stars is the four tool heads insert into the rubber grip handle section kind of like a "cheater" pipe over a breaker bar wrench. They do not lock in place or are they held in any way. They work just fine, but I would feel more secure with the feel of a one piece tool, rather than two pieces that slide apart. The finish of the metal appears to be heavy red enamel and is adequate for long life if protected by the sturdy case. I can recommend this complete and well contained hinge alignment kit.
