I've used socket ratchet ranges for decades; this is my first set of ratchet wrenches of this type. They look to be great---I haven't tried them yet on a really stubborn bolt (or nut), because I don't have any of those.But so far they've worked great. I can confirm that you don't need to swing them far to get the ratcheting effect (I think considerably less than on my old socket rachet wrenches).Unlike my old non-ratcheting wrenches, they "head" is not offset at an angle---stands to reason, since you flip the entire wrench over to reverse the ratcheting direction. You can see this in my photo: the wrench on the left is one of these ratcheting wrenches, the one on the right is one of my old non-ratcheting wrenches. (You can also see that this new wrench is heftier.) This also means that you have to be able to get at the bolt head or nut you're working on from the side; I was going to try this on the wheel nuts on my car, but things are in the way.I don't think I'd use a persuader with these, that's not what they're made for--you'd probably damage the ratchet. ('Persuader': Navy term for hammer, as in "If at first you don't succeed, use a bigger persuader/ hammer.")Recommended.

I was looking to get a set of ratchet wrenches but l thought they were too pricey for no more than l use them they sure come in handy sometimes.l saw these on Amazon both metric and standard for less than what others want for a single set.They appear to be good quality and work well
