The lights are lightweight yet well-made. Two color light setting. Everything about them is as pictured and as expected. I like that you can set them on a table, or hang them from a hook. One will easily fit inside the other, so they are compact, and would be easy to take for camping, a picnic, etc. A great and flexible value!

I like the pattern these lanterns make. I have mounted them under the eves of my patio with an eye bolt that I slightly expended to get the hanger into. There they will be out of direct rain, but still get enough sunlight to charge. More direct sun in the winter because the patio is on the south side of the house.Because they are up high, they make a sufficient amount of light to go outside at night without turning on the patio light. Other than that, the light they put out is decorative, and not really functional. My only complaint is that they are not made of stainless steel (they don't pass the magnet test) and will likely rust in a we environment. Most light such as these usually only have a 2-4 year life expectancy so unfortunately these kind of things end up being disposable.PROs:+ Nice pattern+ SolarCONs:- Short life expectancy- Not stainless steel

These will not look like the pictures. In my backyard after a full day of sunshine, when these are likely at full power, I really can't tell. Construction is very flimsy and I doubt these would hold up to the elements. That's ok, they aren't priced to be family heirlooms. What isn't ok is that they provide little to no decorative illumination. It needs a much stronger LED in my opinion.

I got these lights in February, and waited until the cold weather was over to try them out. They're really lightweight, which is nice for hanging them on small shepherd's hooks that can't handle a lot of weight, but I wouldn't want them out in a seasonal windstorm. So, once Spring arrived I put them up. We're in the Pacific Northwest, and the sun is not reliable or intense this time of year. But it's been sunny enough to charge the lights, and to see that they create a very pretty design on the ground but are not bright enough to be useful as lights. I think it's fine to have something that's aesthetically pleasing and not practical - just know that it's what you're getting. Maybe later in the season and into the summer they'll brighten up. Remains to be seen, and I'll update my review if there's a change.

Despite their being metal these lanterns are surprisingly light-weight. And, despite being light-weight, these lanterns are nonetheless sturdy. This helps with several things. Since they are not heavy the lanterns can be placed upon surfaces that might not be able to support something heavier and they are also easier to hang. However, while they may be capable of enduring smaller drops or being knocked over, the gain of a lighter weight is offset somewhat by a thinner metal that may dent. As for the light, if hung these lanterns may provide a bit of downlight that could be helpful. Other than that, the light cast through the sides creates an appealing pattern. Last, they readily charge and recharge without complication as overcast weather and limited time in direct light seem to be more than enough to keep the lights on.

While the pattern is nice and I'm positive you can find a place where it would be a good fit, it is far dimmer than I expected and therefore, not good for me. Of course, this type of lantern is not supposed to be too bright, but they need to shed enough light to show the patterns like other similar ones that I own, which are significantly brighter without being overwhelmingly bright. There are some pros, of course, especially the fact that they are solar based and the battery seems to last all night long, probably because the dimmer light uses much less power.Overall, they are not that bad, but I would have a hard time recommending them unless you're going to place them in a very dark area at night - with enough daylight during the day - or around a pond where it would enhance the look while keeping the natural atmosphere.
