These decorative lights are great! They are much bigger than I expected and they are well built. I was able to start using these on our patio right away. They had no trouble charging fully even on a cloudy day and stay lit for a very long time. The flickering effect looks great as well. These are pretty dim, so I wouldn't try and use them for visibility, but they are great decorative lights that look sturdy enough for prolonged outdoor use.

These look like real metal caged lanterns, but they are primarily plastic and look so realistic. I initially thought they were metal until I touched the "metal". I actually prefer that they are plastic so rust is not an issue. The plastic does not affect the look of these lanterns.I like that they are solar so I can place them anywhere. The illumination isn't very bright, so it is more of an accent light for me instead of a light source. I am using mine indoors as a decorator item in my living room. I like the flickering light, but it isn't as realistic as other faux flickering candles that I have. The handle on one of my lanterns would not stay in the up position so I had to use a screwdriver and wrench to tighten it. It wasn't a big deal, but I prefer not to have to do anything when I get something new.

These solar lanterns are amazing! They are probably as large as a16" softball (I didn't measure but was impressed that they were larger than expected). They arrived quickly and came with directions. The metal cages are well-made and seemed sealed. Directions advise to take the film off the top. I find that helpful for I would have missed that. I charged them up during the day. The directions explain to put your hand over the top to see them light. There are several modes of flame lit, entire candle lit or kind of a flicker (I didn't like that one too much because the flame wasn't lit when the candle was flickering). Keep in mind, every other click of the button turns it off so you have to cycle through. They must be switched on to charge, from what I can tell. I decided to hang them on an old planter pole on the house and they are classy and adorable! I went out to check them at night and they are quite bright. No they won't light up a walkway but good ambience. They do sit flat so they can be used as a table arrangement or maybe even adding a bit of light to your blanket while watching fireworks. They have sturdy handles on top. I used bungie cords to hang mine.I like them so much, I'm sure I'll be purchasing some more to put around the yard. I want to be able to see them from my window so I guess I'll be getting some shepherd hooks to go with them.

These are nice solar powered outdoor lanterns that although made of black plastic, have every appearance of looking like black metal. It did not take long to charge them up in the sun...after half day on my patio, they were fully functional that night. Although they can be hung from the handle and would look nice over an outdoor table, the on-off switch is at the top, so would need to be lowered enough to turn them on and off. The on-off switch is a press down type, and to be honest, the on and off positions looks similar enough that when I first put them outside, I wasn't sure if they were in the on or off position. But that was not an issue because once it got dark, the one that was in the on position was lit up. So once they're charged it's easy to know what is on and off. The reason why I took one star off is that it has three on settings. One is a solid on, another is a flickering on....these two are fine. The third on position is a strobing on and off that isn't pleasant to be around...I think it was an idea someone had of something that would be a nice effect but it didn't work out that way once implemented. Stick with the solid on position or mildly flickering position and you will be fine. These are very nice for the price point. (By the way, we had a thunderstorm last night with wind and rain and both lanterns stayed in place, so they are heavy enough to handle that.)

Living on the coast of California provides us with sunshine almost every day of the year. To take advantage of this, I have converted all of my outdoor lighting to solar. This is not only beneficial from a cost-saving standpoint, but most solar lighting is designed to charge during the daylight hours and turn on automatically at sunset. This frees me from remembering to switch these lights on and worrying about it if we're away from home for an extended period. There is also more flexibility in where you can put solar lighting when wiring isn't available. This pair of solar lanterns fits well into this plan and looks nice at the same time. I had been using some metal lanterns with patterns etched out of the side, but I am converting everything to a more modern design. These came with some charge already, and as soon as it got dark, they ran for hours even without a full day of charging here. the faux candle inside produces an orange-toned light but doesn't look like the wick is actually burning. The color is striking against the black lantern (plastic 'wicker' which should hold up well against weathering). You can either hang them or sit them on a table, which is what I did. At $24 for two, I feel that they are priced well for the quality and functionality. A nice addition to a patio setting.

I probably should have made a video so I could show off the flicker effect of these candle lanterns. They put off a nice, bright, warm glow that illuminates my outdoor table. These are a very nice size as well. I didn’t think they’d be as large as they are, but they are perfect for my table at this size. They’re not too small and make a statement without overwhelming the space. They’re easy to get charging straight from the box! Take them out, press the on button! I love them and highly recommend them. They are made so well. They feel excellent and expensive, in the best way! These are not cheapy plastic. These are wonderful.
