I love this pail, it is better than a diaper genie in my opinion. Easy to remove. There is a spot for an air freshener. We just buy car ones lol. I would give 5 stars but sometimes the lid get jammed

Effective trash can? Yes.Odor blocking? No.The party that holds the odor absorbing disc broke off both of mine (bought two) within first three months of use. I have tried duct taping and placing odor absorbing discs in bottom- not much of a help.Replaced with a munchkin/Ahammer combo with the special bags- works much better. It’s annoying to have to buy special bags… but it does work better.Have also put an air purifier right next to it so that was smart and helpful. But altogether the munchkin pale is better than this one even though closing mechanism can sometimes be wonky and need extra force to close. Also… get the taller munchkin if you go that route.

I am so impressed by this diaper pail! We have an Ubbi for our main floor change table but needed another diaper pail for late night changes on the second floor and were not prepared to spend $100+ on another Ubbi. This diaper pail has exceeded our expectations, especially given the price. It’s easy to use and locks in the smell perfectly. It uses regular garbage bags which was a must for us. I would definitely recommend this product if you’re looking for a more economical yet functional garbage pail.

Es de buen tamaño, como mediano, pero ancho, tiene cierro hermético, no pasa el olor, puede contener bastantes pañales y el plástico es duro; además puedes usar cualquier bolsa y hay un compartimento para agregar una pastilla de olor o algo similar.

We bought one of these 10 years ago when our first child was born and used it for EIGHT years, through 4 kdis. The only issue by the time we got a new one was the little button got finiky and had to be pressed just right. After moving to a different house we bought a second one since our then 5 kids had multiple rooms where diapers were being changed. Once we had only one kid left in diapers we tossed the one with the weird button and are still using the 2nd one 3 years later. We love that our regular kitchen garbage bags can be used in this. The little scent discs are pointless, but they tried. The price point and low maintenance cost on this guy make it a great purchase compared to the fancier versions and hopefully everyone gets the same longevity out of theirs as we have had.

I had two Diaper Genies: one for my toddler, one for my baby. I thought they were essential, that diaper changing would be impossible and disgusting smelling without one. How wrong I was! When my first DG broke, I decided to give this a try based on the great reviews. Well, that and the fact that I was SICK of paying upwards of $6/refill for DG bags. Do not get ripped off like I did! This little diaper pail works great with regular garbage bags. You will easily save $100/year per child on bags with this! And I don't notice any change in the smell of my daughter's room...and she's three and not potty trained. (I do keep a Febreeze close by and spray the bottom from time to time.) You can either lift the lid or press the button to open the hole on top. As an added bonus, you can teach your kids how to do this so they throw things away on their own. I've changed thousands of diapers over the past few years--trust me when I say you don't need DG and their overpriced bag refills!

This pail is pretty good and priced right, but I made it EVEN BETTER for an extra couple dollars.HERE'S HOW1. Open the lid and remove the cup2. Remove the useless fake coin "deodorizer" and throw in the trash (that's where it belongs)3. Use a drill and drill evenly spaced 1/2" or 5/8" holes in the cup, so it looks like a whiffle ball. (see pics)4. Get some old pantyhose (with no holes in the toes)5. Pour in some activated carbon pellets in the toe of the pantyhose to make a "ball" that will fit in and fill up your drilled cup. This carbon is perfect: 5. Cut off the top of your "pantyhose ball" and tie a knot in it. Make sure it completely fits inside the cup of the diaper pail.6. Put the "pantyhose carbon ball" filled cup back onto the diaper pail (see pics)VOILA! You now have a SUPER odor-absorbent insert that I have found reduces the stinky diaper smell to almost nothing! If you want to add a little more mask to any smells, you can use scented kitchen garbage bags. If you feel that the smell returns, just make another activated "pantyhose carbon ball" and place it in the cup. I have been using the same "pantyhose carbon ball" with over 11 months of worth of stinky diapers from 2 babies and I still do not have any stink from the diaper pail. The carbon will last a LONG time! (Caveat: Obviously you will have an odor when you open the pail, but when it is closed, the carbon absorbs the odors and the pail releases no odor.)Check out the accompanying pictures for a visual on how I did this. I hope this helps! ENJOY!

I did not buy this to use as a diaper pail but had another use in mind for it. I had been looking up Litter Lockers in the pet department when I found some suggestions on how to save some money and figured it couldn't hurt to try. I actually have this diaper pail in my house to use for cat litter disposal and it works great!! I did not want to get caught up down the road having to buy the expensive consumable bags for the Litter Locker and I had also read some reviews that the product was not that sturdy and could break. I am not cheap - but I wanted a product to get my money's worth from. I will no longer have to tie up the cat waste in plastic bags and run outside at every scoop! I have put this little baby right by the cat boxes and I'm all set - hopefully this will also initiate more frequent scooping. A few side notes to anyone wishing to try this out for themselves. The cats like to sit on it and therefore can hit the button to pop the top open - I'm waiting for them to knock it over and then I'll have to find a way to stick it to the floor. You need to invest in the more expensive odor control garbage bags but it's still a money saver compared to the Litter Locker bags. I did take out the little "odor dome" at the top because it closed in the opening too much for the scooper to fit in - go for a glade stick up if you need extra odor control!! And depending on the size of your existing litter scooper you may need to get a smaller one. Mine was a little too wide for the pop up hole but it was an easy switch to make to ensure you hit the hole instead of lifting the entire lid up.
