A handy charger to have1 On the TG7 you can charge the battery in the camera using a USB cable, but this little charger is good because you can charge another battery simultaneously. It works well and I can recommend it.

I bought this so I can charge a battery out of the camera and continue shooting with another battery. I like that it uses USB so I can charge it from a battery bank, a car charger, or a wall charger anywhere in the world. The USB cable is short and tucks into the charger, however I wish it was not permanently attached and could be replaced if damaged, or when needing a longer one. I do carry a 3' USB extension cable that gives me more reach when I need it.

This is a solid little charger for your Olympus Tough camera's batteries. I've got two issues with it:1) The price -- still pretty high for what you get2) The cable -- I wish the charger had a USB-C socket instead of a USB-A cable, the world is rapidly moving away from the old USB-A interface (will soon be a real issue for travel)Granted, some of the price premium for this item comes down to functionality. It supports all three contacts on the battery, while cheap 3rd-party chargers only supply two (power & ground). The third contact, BTW, is for the battery's internal temperature sensor -- so this charger will protect against battery temperature runaway, while the cheap chargers will not.So while I grimace at the price of this charger, it's worth not burning my house (or hotel room) down.

This is the only om-system charger for the battery. It offends me that it has such a short non removable cord and that it is not USB C. The cord should be removable then it wouldn't matter how sort it is because I could just replace it. It also wouldn't matter that it is USB A because my replacement cord would convert it to USB C. In today's world there is no reason to produce a device that uses anything other than USB C.Apple has even given up on lightning for the iPhone and gone to USB C.
