Initial use out of the box, charges batteries FAST.Nice design and feel, noticeable quality.llano NP-FW50 battery fit nicely into my old Sony NEX-5R. Will report back on quality if needed.Dislike that charging cable is USB-C to USB-C (I'd prefer USB-C to USB) but not a huge inconvenience.

As a long time Sony shooter, I have tried a ton of different methods for traveling with my batteries and this is by far the best solution. This case is compact and allows me to store 2 batteries as well as sd cards. The case is very rugged and seconds as a charger so that you don’t have to pack that extra accessory. This is one of those essential accessories for traveling.

i got this battery and charger set for my sony a6500 ... finally having a backup battery has been beautiful & the portable charging case essentially adds the security for me of a whole day's charge for me & the extent of my use of my camera since im able to swap the battery that dies with the charged one & for the most part, the charge seems to coincide with the life of the battery until it dies, so im able to swap them out at relatively the same time & so on. i try to make sure to charge the case every night so that im able to keep my equipment charged all day. by the end of a full day - the case will need to be charged. the battery fits well and works as expected, giving me extra power when i need it.. the battery life over time in regards to quality & craftsmanship seems reliable.

The Sony mirrorless cameras are awesome, but these little batteries just don't last that long- so having a bunch of them is essential before heading out on any sort of photo expedition. Two things separate this charger from others that I've had. First, you can see what percentage charge each battery has. Often, I lose track of which are charged, and which aren't- and after a day of even just sitting in the camera bag, on a charger that just shows on/off, it's easy to waste time putting a 98% full battery onto the charger when you really meant to put the 2% full battery there instead. No such issue here. Second, the way this thing clamps the batteries into place is vastly superior to the ones where you just press the battery down into a shallow depression. These batteries tend to swell a bit over time, and when they do- keeping them pressed into place on the other chargers is very hard- I often have to find something heavy to set on top of them to keep the connection active. This style of charger completely eliminates that problem. Awesome device. Hard to tell how good the spare battery included with this kit is, but it's well worth it just for the charger alone. The extra battery is just a bonus. And, like I said- you can never have too many of these things. So easy to chew through 4-5 batteries in a day, especially if you review pictures on the display and send them to a smartphone/iPad.

I always recommend people to buy a few extra camera batteries, as they make using a camera so much easier. This simplifies the process even more, as it provides an easy way to store, transport, and charge said batteries. The charging is super-fast, and connects with a USB-C connector.One thing that I'll add is that the charger is much larger than I expected. Maybe it's just me, but I don't think the photos properly sold the scale of the item. Other than that, it's a definite recommendation!
