I feel like I may have a label maker addiction lol I just love to find good label makers that allow me to be creative and organized all at the same time. Something about this label maker gives me anxiety. I feel like they have made it overly complicated for no reason. The functions that have buttons that are obviously designed for said function seem to not work actually perform that function. Or do anything for that matter. I find myself needing to manually space or center things despite the option of pushing the option for it. It does seem to print well and may end up being an awesome label maker I just don’t have time to figure it out when it should be simple.

I received this product for free for the purpose of review. Given the review, I don't think you have anything to worry about when it comes to my being honest about what I think.At first, things seemed to be ok. I followed the instructions, downloaded the app, agreed to give all my data to China-- you know the usual stuff you get when installing an app for a cheap Bluetooth doohickey. I went to the connect screen and the printer was detected right away. Great! Even better, there was a note saying that I could update the firmware! That's a great sign that the company really intended this to be more than a throwaway thing!Unfortunately, the good stops there. After letting the device chew on its update, while the printer was detected by my phone and paired when asked, I never could get the printer to connect again. I just got a failed connection notice with no other information. I did what was suggested on their FAQ, but nothing helped. I tried looking presses of power, the reset button, long presses of the reset button, tapping out "Stayin' Alive"... No dice.I know the thing prints, because a double-tap will print out a teeny little diagnostic label. It's too bad the thing stopped working, since the diagnostic label is very nice and sharp. This could have been a great, cheap label printer, but instead it's just e-waste. Just for the sake of curiosity, I opened it up and the battery is an 18500 cell of unknown provenance, but it does appear to have a PCB with protection circuitry on it, and the stated 1200mAh rating. The main microprocessor looks to be from Zhuhai JieLi technology, who seem to have a diverse array of chips for smart devices, headphones, and the like.So yeah, this is a definite skip, or at the very least if you buy one, DON'T update the firmware!

First, the basic set up is quite easy. After a few snags, I had things working. But I also have questions I can't figure out.There are a number of icons to help you set things up. Unfortunately, it's unclear what they do, and they don't necessarily work as they seem to. For instance, there is an icon to help you center the text on the label. Unfortunately, it doesn't actually do that. When you go to preview, you can see that the text is not lined up, and you have to manually move it and eyeball where you want it (I didn't know until I printed whether the preview or the command would take precidence -- it was the former). But there are still a number of icons I can't begin to understand.Additionally, it seems everything is set for 14x40 mm labels, but it also seems as if there is a way to change the size. I guess you just buy different labels, but there is nothing that verifies you actually have 14x40 mm (but apparently you do). I was confused trying to figure out what size I was working with, since it doesn't tell you.I just printed out one label that spit out about 2" of blank tape behind it. Unsure if it was just missing a label or what, as the other labels don't seem to have all that blank space. But wondering if the printer "knows" where the labels begin and end. If not, that may be why a "centered" label isn't centered. There is a little space between labels (except my weird one), but there is no rule on just where to line that up, so if yours (or mine) isn't lined up right, then things won't print where we expect.The labels come out looking nice -- I honestly haven't experimented enough to see what it does with anything other than words, but they were crisp and clear. But I'm not crazy about the ability to format things. I'm also a little leery about the very Chinese app on my phone. I usually check out apps before downloading them. I opted to get this one, since I got the device for free with my review, but I'm still wondering if it's safe. Nothing about it online at this time. So Amazon, I hope you have our backs on this one!

This label printer has definitely come in handy. After downloading the app and reading the instructions, it took a little minute, but I was able to figure out exactly how to create my own templates. Once created you can also save them. On the app, they have plenty that you can go by as well and adjust them to your liking.The label printer was easy to connect to my phone and print out the labels silently and quickly.The adhesive on the stickers is strong enough to stay on, but you can also pull off and re-stick without them lifting. With my girls being in so many activities, it’s important that I was able to label the cups and various items.My next step is figuring out where to purchase more of the sticker tape. This is a five star product.
