This is a very nice and large set of inexpensive ring terminals. This jar will undoubtedly last me a long time. The terminals are simple, but well made and easy to use. They crimp onto the wires very securely and I use electrical tape to provide a bit of insulation. I use the terminals to build wires that I can use with a portable bench top power supply unit. It is nice to have the ring connectors on the end of my lead wires, rather than just wrapping the wires around the terminal. So much easier to attach and to know that I have a good connection. I have also use the terminals to set up jumper wires for my solar electric fence. I like using heavier 10 gauge wire for the fence but all of my chargers have came with 12 gauge or even smaller wires. The list price on these terminals is so low that it works out to be pennies per terminal. Hard to beat. I also like that they come in a jar to keep them organized and easy to find.

These are good connectors for wiring terminals. Keep in mind you note the terminal size you are getting. I got the 8mm terminals and those are quite tiny! So pay attention. For my use, they work perfectly. I have a few custom projects that these work great on to conduct low voltage and provide easy connection to the battery terminals I have setup.

Shown in the photo is the non-insulated terminal under review on the right, and my gold standard one on the left. It’s easy to see that the one on the left has more metal, for greater mechanical strength and current-carrying capacity. The one on the right would be five stars if the manufacturer left just a little more metal on the ring and the neck of the connector. Other than that, the crimping area is sized accurately, and results in strong crimps when crimped with my industrial ratcheting crimper.

Good ring terminals for low voltage wiring. One of my pet peeves is when people will twist three or four wires under a screw terminal. It might work but usually not for long. I’m a big fan of terminal blocks and using ring connectors like these on your wiring. Keeps all your wires properly connected and trouble free. Plus if there are problems the block/terminal system makes it much easier to troubleshoot. These are crimp connectors but you could also solder them if you like. These terminals are for 22 up to 16 gauge wires so they will handle the more well used sizes. They are uninsulated but I always have shrink tube on hand if an insulator is needed. These seem to be of good quality. They come in a quantity of 100 in a small plastic jar with a screw on lid for keeping them organized and easy to store. At the price of $6.99 for 100 of these terminals it is an excellent value!

These are good terminals. The copper is plenty thick for the wire size and they fit well. They are open ended. I appreciate the jar container which is very helpful for storage - much better than a plastic bag.

These are some of the best ring terminals that I have, as they are much thicker, and are also tinned. They come in a nice container instead of just a plastic bag. As a note, ring terminals are typically 10 AWG and higher (as in 12, 14, 16, 18, etc), and lugs are typically 8 AWG and lower (as in 8, 6, 4, 2, etc). These are of excellent quality, and I highly recommend them.

The ring terminal is a standard metric ring terminal that is ~30mm Long by ~1.27mm Thick (1.175"L x 0.050"T). The SC8-8 stands for Standard Copper 8mm^2 wire diameter and 8mm stud (~8.2AWG [~0.126"] for ~0.315" Stud [~5/16"]). The ring terminal is tinned plated copper. I measured the inside diameter of the crimp but couldn't get into the center for best accuracy. The ID near the outside measured ~0.185" which will accommodate a larger wire diameter (8AWG is ~0.129"). On many of the terminals I was able to insert 6AWG wire, but it's a snug fit and the other terminals were too small. I wouldn't recommend crimping this onto a 6AWG wire, since it might break the terminal. However, I think 7AWG (or two 10AWG) would be safe to crimp and I did crimp a couple like this without any fractures on the terminals. The 0.050” thickness is a little thicker than typical for ring terminals, which would be about 0.47”, but not like the higher current thicker terminals which are about 0.063” thick. For what I’m doing at work, these terminals are just about perfect and cost effective.

This pack of 100 loop style connectors for size 16-14 wire will come in handy. I have several projects going where I am creating wire looms for automotive and marine application. These work well for medium power circuits where the connection is to a threaded post, such as an auto motive power relay. These are very good for places where the wire could come under some tension and be pulled loose without the loop. The quality of these connectors is as good as any I’ve had and they crimp cleanly using either a ratcheting crimper or a hydraulic crimper. Basic plier type crimpers will not work on these, unless maybe you have king kong grip.Along with a good quality heat shrink, these make great connection for wiring projects.
