This light weight stairset is just what I wanted. I have a ramp that my previous older dog and new young pup would not use. (It was passed to me by a friend whose dog also would not use it) This friend ordered the stairs and recommended them to me. Her older dog went up and down from the start. Although I lost my old dog my young dog used the steps first time out. The steps are light weight and foldup easily. I store them in the back of my station wagon- ready whenever I need them. I reccomend them to all.

I like the 4 step foldable. It is light weight, folds & unfolds easily, & doesn't take up much space. It is sturdy as long as you set the legs on even ground & put the handles evenly on the pickup floor edge. It can be used at the floor level of my pickup & the dog walks up another step to the seat. It was a lifesaver for my wrenched back & my dog's painful leg. He would no longer jump into the pickup. It's easy to train your dog to use the steps with the right treats on steps & pickup seat. Great purchase!

Really happy with these stairs. Pretty lightweight and deploy super fast. There is not strap or clip to keep the stairs in the folded position but you don't need one. There is the perfect amount of tension in the stairs so they stay in the folded position, even when walking around with them, yet with a firm "throw" without releasing your grip they will fully unfold in a controlled manner. The foam grips do a good job protecting the car's paint. I am taking 1 star off though because the two handles that are supposed to meet in the middle and attach via Velcro are too short and are pain to put together. Makes transporting the stairs a bit of a pain

Our dog is getting on in years and as she ages, she can no longer jump into our SUV. We've tried several types of ramps to help her in and out of the vehicle, but they are all narrow, flimsy, unstable, heavy, and hard to maneuver. We couldn't even get her to try, because the shakiness terrified her and she wouldn't go up any of them. But THIS is exactly what she needs. She was suspicious at first and it took some coaxing, but once she realized how stable and safe she felt on these steps, she was so glad to have an easy way into and out of our car.It folds and unfolds so quick and easy that storing it during transit is a breeze and it weighs less than our super-lightweight vacuum cleaner. We are also aging, and we could easily injure ourselves trying to use one of those heavy and awkward ramps.I highly, HIGHLY recommend this product, for the dog's comfort and safety, and ALSO for the human's comfort and safety as well.

I have a lifted truck that has a dropped tailgate that is 38” off the ground and three large dogs, one of which is older in age so it was important for me to find stairs that would extend at least that tall with the base still fully on the ground (not at a tilt). Was pretty excited when I found this product that said 48” - unfortunately too good to be true :( these stairs are only 35”

We have two Greyhounds that we were taking with us to the beach. One of our dogs hasn't been in a car very often and has been terrified of stairs. My wife had a plastic ramp with turf but its bulky and kind of heavy. Since our newest grey wouldn't go up the ramp I thought that I'd try these stairs. Unfortunately he wouldn't go up the stairs either (but I'm sure he just needs to get used to them). The portable stairs for Large dogs are really nice. They seem very sturdy, and they fold very easy as well. Other things that I like about them are the fact that they are light and very compact as opposed to our old ramp with turf. I was able to tuck these stairs under their beds in the back of my SUV. There's lots of options on Amazon for these type of stairs, but I think that I made the right decision. They are very nice!

**UPDATE to original review -After my initial review of these steps, they sadly fell short of my expectations. After using the steps for 53 days, i noticed that the steps were starting to collapse. The struts had started to bend on one side, causing the steps to straighten out when my dog used them.I checked the product description, and it says they are good up to 200lbs, my dog is 100lbs.I contacted the seller to ask what could be done, only to be told 'sorry friend, there's nothing i can do for you as it's been too long' - it's been 53 days. For a product that is this expensive compared to others, i would expect it to last a lot longer.I recently contacted Amazon and they helped me follow their A-Z guarantee process and this went very smoothly.I don't normally write reviews, so it's disappointing that on the occasion where i felt i wanted to share information about a product, the item did not meet the product description. So in summary i would not recommend this product or this seller.Initial review - I had a cheaper set of steps that I bought a couple of years ago and they worked great until they snapped. I couldn’t replace them with the same thing as so I decided to go for an upgrade. These steps are twice the price of the old ones but they are so much more sturdy. They open smoother, they are wider, and extend further. I feel these ones will last longer than the last ones. Strongly recommend this product.

Súper práctica pero si es complicado utilizarla en las puertas debe ser utilizada solo en la cajuela de las camionetas

We bought the 5 step ladder to help our 10 yr old German Shepherd into the back of our SUV. She is 75 pounds - a bit “fluffier” than she should be. She was struggling slightly to get in the back of the car, but we didn’t want her to hurt herself. All I had to do was tap the bottom step and she went right up. Sometimes she has a bit of an attitude and try’s to go around me and jump in, but she’s not afraid to use it, just doesn’t like being told she has to do it our way!I love how it folds up and I can store it in my back seat. It does take up a bit of room if someone has to ride in the back seat, but if my dogs are with me, there usually isn’t anyone back there, so works great for me. I love being able to take the stairs with me.There is a carabiner style clip to hook onto the hatch latch so the stairs don’t slide off, but there is a neoprene type product around the arms so I just place my hand on the arms to insure they don’t move. she’s a bit impatient to get in and The process of clipping and Unclipping takes longer than for her to walk up. Awesome product, haven’t regretted this purchase at all
