This ramp is massive and completely solid. Made of steel and felt for the padding, this is the ramp I have been dreaming about getting for our aging Ole girl. She is 8 and the jump into our Jeep is taking its toll. I wanted to find a way to help her and feared that the many plastic or thinly made ones would give out under her in some freak accident. Then I saw this one and did not hesitate to snatch it up as it looked better then what I could have imagined. I loved the fact that it folds in 4 equal squares to not only make it easier to carry everywhere but just to be less cumbersome overall. We have 2 pups, one who is 55lbs and she had no problem taking to the new ramp at all. Our pup, who is 85 and 2 yrs old was alot less eager to try it out. It does not have legs but a connecting clip to harness and steady the ramp to your car. It is not going anywhere. We are really impressed with the new ramp and Im sure I saw relief on our dogs face when she learned her new route to get into the Jeep!

My measurements of just the ramp (not including the feet) 68 3/8â x 17 1/8-3/16â wide. The carpet padded area is approximately 14â wide including the edge trimâŠapproximately 13â just for the carpet width. The metal edge is approximately 1 5/8â wide. Weight 18.6 pounds on my bathroom scale. Folded, it can fit on its side behind the front seat. If on the back seat, it takes one spot. It fits easily in the trunk of an SUV and most cars. Most of the metal edges are rounded off but a few were not. This did not affect the functionality of this ramp. The paint was adequately applied, but donât expect it to remain scratch-free. The feet are plastic with horizontal ridges. This will slide on metal or other solid plastic areas, but shouldnât be an issue on regular car seats, snug dog seat covers, or grippy trunk and/or bumper liners. It doesnât appear that they would discolor seats. Some parts appear to be riveted on such as the feet, while most parts are screwed or bolted on. At this point, all parts except maybe the hinges look like repairs could be made if needed. The ramp had a slightly convex shape when first opened which flattened out after standing and walking on it with just over 130 pounds. The hinges on this ramp have enough tension so the panels donât just flip open or slam shut, but caution when opening and closing is still recommended. Itâs possible the hinges will loosen with use. There is a safety strap with a clip on one end of the ramp to keep the feet from slipping off of the trunk. The length can be adjusted for different vehicles and does not appear to be made to be placed under frequent weighted tension (safety strap, not working strap). The strap looks like those on many ramps for sale on Amazon.Using this ramp, it remained stable with a 65-70 pound large dog going up and down several times. A few treats can help encourage a dog unfamiliar with steps or ramps. The textured carpet worked well for providing traction. Time will show if it gets stretched out or damaged. The width of this ramp works well with the passenger doors of a Solterra and Forester. The Solterra passenger door does not open out as far as the Forester so a wider ramp would not work for this case. Having a hard bottom back seat extender dog cover definitely helps provide more stability for the ramp if one wants to place the ramp up on the seat. The longer length makes for more gradual entry angle which is less stress on a dogâs joints. Some type of carpet or tacky strips are recommended for the metal edges of this ramp to mitigate the risk of oneâs dog (or other pet) from slipping. Initially, I was searching for folding steps that could flatten out into a stable ramp as it would be much faster to deploy and fold using one hand, but nothing is currently available. Opening out regular dog steps to the flat position does not work as they are too weak. This ramp (71â option) works well for now.

Folding non-slip, 63" x 17" Dog RampThis is solid! I've never seen a ramp made this solid before. With that said, it's a little heavier than I expected. It's made to support a dog up to 250 lbs, so it would have to be made well, which this is.We're an older couple, so we got this for a couple of reasons. One, to save our backs from picking up our dog and putting him in the back seat area. Two, for our dog who is getting older in years and having a harder time getting into and out of the SUV.It's a very well made metal framed ramp, with a low enough incline for dogs not to be scared using it, and helping with orthopedic issues for older dogs. This ramp unfolds easy, has non slip rubber footing on each short leg, and the non slip carpet material on the ramp looks like it will last a long while, plus withstand getting wet in the rain.I also like the width, as it looks like the dog will have an easier time navigating this ramp, vs thinner ramps that are scarier. While you can use this for any door to the car, you'll need plenty of room for the ramp to operate correctly.I like the safety feature ring, that you clip to your car trunk, holding the ramp where you need it. Folding it up is easy and I like the handle, makes for easy carrying.Overall, excellent item.

Very well-made. Heavy duty. Looks almost identical to the slightly longer version that I purchased earlier. This one shaves off a few inches so I thought it might be lighter. The carpet on the ramp is ridged, outdoor carpet, so it should hold up decent and give some good traction. That is the only difference between this one and the other one that I actually purchased. They look identical, otherwise, including how they fold (into quarters) and the weight is very similar. This might be too heavy for you if you have arthritis or a bad back. My main concern with these folding ramps is that they are difficult to fold up with one hand, which concerns me about how I'm going to hold onto my dog and fold this up at the same time. I guess I will step on her leash so I can use both hands. Once you get both ends folded in, there is a handle in the middle to lift it in and out of the vehicle. This will fit on the floor of the back seat or really anywhere in basically any vehicle that you would need a ramp for. This should also hold up well to my 110 lb. dog since it's very sturdy. This has ridged "feet" to hold the ramp in place and shouldn't move around too much. The incline on this and the one I purchased are both pretty steep and my dog is afraid to go up and down them. So practice ahead of the time you need to use them is a must.
