I didn't order the correct one needed. The 2 u bought do what they were made for. Ones I took out were foldback and 16" long. These are small for my 50 g tank

First one lasted five years in a tank with hard water and no anode rod - I would say that’s five stars for sure.

I didn’t know what type of element i needed so i grabbed a couple of these. They are 240V and 3800W. When i pulled my old ones out i found they were the fold over kind but put these in since the had already bought them. The old ones were heavily caked with deposits so I'm sure they were eating power to do the job. The only difference is the surface area of the element because of being a single loop but I fired it up and had hot water in about an hour for a 40 gallon tank. Camco makes a fold over heater element for about a dollar more then I spent for these so they are in my cart just in case. So far seems like a good value for the money.

It is the wrong part for my Kenmore Power Miser 12, 40 gallon water heater. The package says that it fits most Kenmore water heaters but the thread is NPS thread instead of the required NPT thread for my twenty year old Kenmore water heater. My original equipment water heater elements have a tapered thread.

Appears to work as supposed to.I marked easy t install - after draining, cleaning out the sludge, etc.BTW if you don't already know, cleaning out all the crud in the bottom of the tank is essential or you'll just burn out the replacement too (bottom).

Other than draining the tank, it was an easy 15-minute job to replace the upper and lower elements in my 55 gallon heater. Saved me the cost of replacing the heater which had been producing lukewarm water and running out in a few minutes. Works like new again.
