This means that they come with Addoy 2.1 mm rubber sponges attached to them. The rubber sponges are approved by the International Table Tennis Federation and the racket is approved for tournament use. The rubber sponges on these rackets cannot be removed. If you need to replace the rubber after prolonged use, you should buy another ping pong paddle. The ping pong balls that come with the set are Butterfly Easyball 40+ balls. These balls are made of a durable poly/plastic material. The balls are perfect for casual play. The ping pong paddles have a shakehand grip which provides an excellent feel when striking the ball. This ping pong paddle set has a 30 day warranty. The warranty protects against factory defective merchandise and does not cover misuse of the product. Butterfly is the preferred brand used by professionals around the world.

Great value for intermediate level players. ATR sports was a fantastic seller who got this to us promptly despite Covid-19 related logistics disruptions. Was securely packed as well.The rackets are genuine Butterfly Tamasu products and you save a few bucks buying the two pack with some balls thrown in. Tacky and controllable. Perfect for use on less than full size tables.

Compared to our older paddles, these are great! Here is how they compare. The old ones are traditional wood paddles with a thin layer of bumpy rubber attached. These, however, are a wooden paddle with a thick layer of smooth rubber attached. And, it's a different kind of rubber. This is much squishier and it reminds me of a super ball material. I found the ball easier to control with this paddle, and it bounces off the paddle without a lot of swing. We play for fun, so we look for something that holds up and works well.The surface is sticky, almost like the reusable lint rollers that used to be on infomercials. If you like a little backspin, you'll like the surface.Out of the package, these do have a very strong smell of glue - the kind used for gluing carpet or model airplanes.

First, let me say that I am not a pro or even an enthusiast when it comes to ping pong (aka Table Tennis). I was good at it for a brief period of time in my twenties and that was a long time ago. That said, I do have some knowledge about what makes good equipment.These rackets have a phenomenal construction that makes them wickedly good for anyone who has enough skill to put any kind of spin (or "English") on the ball. The paddles are constructed of wood, and the surface of the paddle, where the rubber meets the ball, are made of two layers of rubber. A soft cushion, and then one of the most "grippy" surfaces I have ever seen on a Ping Pong Paddle (Table Tennis Racket) that I have ever felt. It is almost like tape or glue. It is incredibly grippy and would make it very easy for an experience player or a good player to control the ball. I assume it is legal, and if so, it is a very, very good paddle. I really like it a lot.

Ping pong paddles are like any other sports racket – tennis, pickleball, badminton - you get what you pay for. Low-end equipment for the rec-room player can be found in the grocery or hardware store aisle. The price is right and the purchase gets them into the game quickly with minimal overhead. Since they will probably be playing like-minded and skilled players, the game is less about equipment and more about the atmosphere. You can get four paddles and between 6-8 balls for the price of this 2-paddle set.However, if you are teaching the game to your kids, or you are a semi-serious player, I highly recommend this Butterfly set. Of course, there are more expensive paddles, but the Butterfly is a mid-range product that offers good handling and control of the ball. If you start your kids on the general retail store models, they may have a hard time adjusting up to the softer surface, stroke and sound of the Butterfly racket which models higher-end designs. In other words, mid and high-end models don’t look or feel anything like the low-end scale product. So, why bother starting there if you’re serious about developing ping pong playing skills?This is our 2nd purchase of these paddles. They hold up well – no peeling or chipping of the rubberized surface – feel good in the hand, and perform well. The balls, also made by Butterfly, make this an excellent package deal.
