I have an Alienware m18 and while it works well enough for me it leaves a small gap along the top and one side. Maybe a 16th of an inch on either edge.

Like other reviews, there is a slight gap. Mine sat flush on the bottom of the screen and left a 1/8 inch gap on the top. The sides have a very small gap that is expected on screen protectors. If this sat flush all around, it would be difficult to remove, so if I hadn't sat flush on the bottom, it would had been perfect. My only true complaint is this needs a better system for installing as you are "eyeing" alignment and it gets tricky with the adhesive side exposed to dust. I ended up with 2 tiny bubbles, 4 tiny lint, and one speck of dust on my install. Not bad for an 18in screen protector installed in a carpeted room. Looks good when installed and they include a second protector if you mess up or the first one gets abused. This will not prevent cracks on the lcd, just superficial scratches on the screen from the keyboard or any objects that gets trapped when the laptop is closed.
