This is exactly as expected.I have a home based business and I keep common wires on hand as we are always growing and changing things. The other day I installed under cabinet lights. I am 30 minutes from town so it is nice not to have to run in for every little project.I ordered this roll for some upcoming projects and it is exactly as I expected. The aluminum shielding is comparable to any other tech cable I have used and the wires are no exception. It matches anything I have ordered in the past and I am very happy with the quality.Just note that this is 2 wire. Meaning 2 hots 240v/hot and neutral 120v, and a ground. It will Work for mini split A/C units and other 240v AC electronics that either have a transformer or only require 220v. Many ovens and appliances require 3 wire to use one hot side and neutral for the 120v electronics while the 240v feed the elements. Make sure you know what you need and run what makes sense for future upgrades.

Whoever built my house really didn't think ahead when they added the peninsula of cabinets/countertop dividing the kitchen from the family room. Ever since we have lived here I have constantly made comments that the peninsula needed outlets to be useable. Using appliances like the panini press was limited to other parts of the kitchen because of it, so when we were replacing the countertops, I knew I had to fix this problem. A lot of the time people just run Romex wire through the cabinets, but since this string of cabinets has drawers and cabinets across it, I knew I had to follow code and use an armored cable. I ran across this cable and figured it was perfect for the job.The cable was easy to run, though I would prefer it be packaged more like regular household wire so I didn't have to take the plastic off the whole roll and could feed out of the middle. Otherwise, the wire was easy to run and the armor is fairly easy to peel back at the ends. The wire was easy to strip and connect to the outlets and worked well with the box connectors for flexible conduit. Using regular conduit clips, I attached the wire along the upper back of the cabinet and wired into the GFCI outlet on the wall. This armored cable is very user friendly and made the job a snap.Given the price of wire these days, this armored wire is very attractive cost-wise. The jacket around it is very resilient and didn't seem to smash in the conduit connectors, so I will be using this in future projects as whips for the recessed lights and garage wiring.

To clarify possible confusion from another review, the cable IS 12/2 as shown in the pictures. It has three conductors, but the green is the ground, black = hot and white = neutral.12/3 has two hot wires, a neutral and a ground for 120V circuits ~ (4-conductors total) and is used for multi-wire branch circuits and 3-way or 4-way lighting circuits. (not for 220v)For the review, I am using this as the main feeder for receptacles in my workshop that I ran in the attic space on 20amp breakers.I wanted the clad cable because there's always a possibility of rodents getting into the workshop because I'm not in there everyday to discourage them from taking residence, so I would rather play it safe.Rats and mice will inherently chew through the insulation on wiring, which obviously could be an issue and the metal cladding will eliminate this from happening along with the possibility of the wire getting damaged in other ways.It also just looks better and more professional than Romex running through since the attic space is left open and is visible in the workshop. The quality of the cable is good and I can recommend it from that aspect, but the price could be more competitive.I've seen it for .83 per foot versus this one that is 1.10 per foot, so that could be better.Value is an important aspect of recommending the product, so I am including that in my review to be totally transparent.Overall I am satisfied with the cable and it is performing without issue and I know it will last for many years to come.Shipping speed was good.

I got this as I plan to use it to create some temporary generator-powered circuits that I can roll out in the event of an emergency or sustained power outage. It's good quality MC cable. It's flexible, easy to work with, and the copper conductors are made of good quality copper. The conductors flex well and are not brittle.

I have no problems with this product. It looks good and has all the code approvals. But then there is this one strange thing about this order.I ordered 12-2 fifty feet.I got 12-3 fifty feet. But the packaging said 12-2 fifty feet.It is possible that the person who sent out the order does not know the difference between 12-3 and 12-2.Or they went with what was written on the label.Because the package is shrink-wrapped. Then, they placed it in a large zip lock bag.The zip lock has the label for the product, not the shrink-wrapped product.I have no answer for this issue. This review deals only with the product. So, as far as the product is concerned. It is good.

Smaller diameter cable, which makes it easy to feed through pipe if that is what you are doing. Comes in a nice roll to get electricity to an area where the wire would normally be exposed.

This is a sturdy and well-built 12AWG electrical cable with copper conductor. The aluminum enclosure provides an extra layer of protection, shielding the internal conductors from mechanical damage, which helps reduce the risk of cuts, abrasions, and impacts. Additionally, the design can eliminate the need for conduit, making installation quicker and more cost-effective.However, a major concern is the lack of certifications such as UL or ETL, which raises safety risks. Due to this, I will only use it for non-permanent setups where temporary power is required rather than for permanent installations.

Finally used this for a home project and am happy with the quality of the wire. I had no issues getting power to my new lights and the UL certification gives me lot's of confidence that I'm not going to wake up to a fire anytime soon. The metal feels like a normal good quality jacket that has a decent balance of durability and flexibility so no complaints there either.I recommend.Title at time of review:100ft 12/2 Metal Clad (MC) Cable with Ground, 12 Gauge Electric Wire with Aluminum Armor, Solid Bare Copper Conductors for Indoor Outdoor Underground Embedded Installation (12/2, 100 ft)
