In open environments, I found the advertised 1.8-mile range to be somewhat optimistic in practice, with a more consistent and clear communication range settling closer to half a mile, especially if there are any obstructions. However, within this range, clarity is generally good, and they proved effective for coordinating tasks around a worksite or staying connected during a leisurely hike through the Colorado foothills. The integrated emergency flashlight is a practical addition, offering a bit of extra utility for nighttime excursions or unexpected power outages. While the 1200 mAh Li-ion battery boasts impressive standby times, active use, especially with frequent transmissions, showed a battery life closer to four hours before needing a recharge, so managing expectations for extended, continuous use is advisable. These are a good pick for straightforward communication where extreme range and all-day continuous heavy use aren't the primary requirements, making them a suitable companion for family outings, camping trips, or simply having a bit of fun.

It’s really simple and easy to use, with clearly marked buttons and light up indicators to show you it’s on. My 3 year old loves playing with it and it’s held up very well to being thrown around and dropped. I love the double ended charging cable so you can charge both walkie talkies with just one usb port.

Worked as they should. I took them on a hike with my buddies after we found a beach to metal detector and worked perfectly. Good price,but forgot to take a picture and they're on my boat lol

These are extremely basic FRS radios that don't even get all 22 of the shared FRS channels other radios do. Only the first 16. And you cannot listen to other FRS radios, as these units have a privacy tone enabled that cannot be disabled - although they can transmit to other radios fine.Very lightweight, probably due to the pretty weak battery. On testing, mine went from full charge to dead in 1 hour and 55 minutes of transmitting.I doubt these transmit at the normal 2 watts, as with perfect, unobstructed line of sight, we were only able to use them out to about 90 yards. Signal beyond that decayed fast. These are likely .5 watt devices.The flashlight is okay, I guess.A 15 second rinse test showed zero water damage.These are radios for small children. If you have small kids that you want to give a radio, these wouldn't be a bad choice. But these don't even stack up to some of the other FRS radios on Amazon that ARE marketed for kids. And they're certainly not for adults.

This walkie talkie set is very clear, and has about a half mile range. The green camouflage color is very appealing, and the radios are simple to operate. One USB cable is included to charge both units. The only downside is that these radios use a very small lithium battery with very little capacity. After 4 hours of light use, the radios had a low battery. There is no real weight to the radios due to the omission of a larger battery. I would recommend these walkie talkies if you need sporadic short range communications.

These are definitely high quality walkie talkies and it picks up messages close a km away. Functionalities are straight forward and kids in our community are having great using these.. It feels durable and power stays long enough.

We have not had this much fun with toys in a long time. I’m talking about the adults in the house. We think it’s new and exciting. I can talk to my husband while walking the dog, it’s fun!

Battery life is not Steller on these range is also not fantastic.I have smaller children's versions of these which shockingly out perform these.These are very cheap feeling and the units are very light, almost as if there are no batteries in them at all.I have only tested the range to maybe around half a mile and its been spotty.Overall i would not use these outside of just working around the house since the range is not great and the battery life also is not great as well, one unit died after fully charged maybe about 1 hour of use.
