I like the way these look, and they are comfortable to hold. They’re waterproof and dustproof. There are a lot of different features, which the included manual does a good job explaining both what they are and how to set them. For the most basic settings, you have 22 channels, both high and low power, and you have 121 different privacy codes, so you don’t have to really worry about anyone else picking up your signal. All of the settings are easy to set. There is a charger that comes with this set, but you can also charge each one individually from a USB-C cable.I like the NOAA weather feature, though inside my house, I could not pick up any FM radio signals, which I thought was strange. This is supposed to come with wrist straps, but mine did not have any.Range says up to 3 miles, but it’s going to depend on terrain and other obstacles. For example, I had my daughter take one to school so she could try and contact me at the end of the day. He school is about 1 mile due west of my house. I was sitting in a room right next to a western-facing window. She couldn’t get through at all from her school. About ¾ miles from me, she was coming it, but there was a lot of static. About a half a mile away, she came in clear enough to have a conversation. There were numerous obstacles between us, including houses, cars, and trees. With both of us outside and completely wide-open terrain, the range would have been better.Overall, this seems like a decent, basic walkie talkie set.

These are good little FRS radios, with lithium batteries, USB-C charging, a handy cradle, and NOAA and FM reception.I have some Motorala FRS radios, some no-name ones, and a Baofeng GMRS radio, and audio sounds basically the same on all of them, these included. I haven't tested range, but range on FRS radios is all pretty much the same due to the low power limit and the fixed stubby antennas. These have a fancy dual watch function that I haven't bothered to use. Annoying beeps on these can be silenced through the menu and the backlight can be disabled as well. The scan function works fine. NOAA is simple and comes in well. The FM tuning controls are a little unintuitive but FM works fine. The cradle on this works well, and they also have USB-C charging which is very convenient. If you choose to use the pocket clip on these, it's spring loaded and pretty strong, better than the flexy clips on some other radios. The lithium pouch cell in these is removable and uses a plug I've seen before, so they could theoretically be replaced when they reach the end of their useful life. I hate electronics with sealed lithium batteries so I'm glad to see that these aren't.There's no rubber seal around the battery door. This makes me wonder about that IP67 rating. It's possible that the insides past the battery are waterproofed and the battery connector is waterproofed, but I don't know. I want these to keep working so I won't be dunking them if I can help it, despite the rating on the box.Volume adjustment on these is via buttons instead of a knob, and there aren't that many discrete steps in the volume control. Sometimes I have to settle for "too loud" because the next step down is too quiet. I find I prefer the older analog volume knobs.Overall, keeping these charged and running is very convenient and they sound fine. The menu is a lot like other FRS radios and getting them set up how you want is easy. I'm slightly skeptical of the water resistance rating and I wish the volume control was a little different, but these are keepers. Overall I'm very pleased with them.

I own a few different sets of FRS radios, and this one is definitely near the top of the "nice" list as far as features go. Unlike cheaper radios that can't be easily programmed, the menus on these Gaswei radios allow you to set all sorts of options. You can toggle off the tone that sounds when you go through the menus for a much quieter user experience. You can also turn off the "roger beep" that, by default, is sent at the end of every transmission. You can set CTCSS or DCS privacy codes, toggle high (2 watt) and low (0.5 watt) power, and set a number of other options. One nice feature of these radios not often found on others is their ability to monitor two channels simultaneously, and transmit on either one. This is referred to as "Dual Watch" mode. One of the buttons on the front of radio doubles as a second transmit button and transmits to the secondary channel when dual watch mode is on. This is a useful feature if you need to communicate with two different groups of people simultaneously using two different frequencies. This radio set includes a dual charging base that will charge both units at the same time. Alternatively, you can use a USB-C cable to charge each radio individually. A power adapter and USB-C cable are included with the charger. Also included are belt clips and a tiny little Allen wrench that fits the screws you need to remove to install them. Installing the belt clips is a bit challenging due to their spring-loaded nature, but I was able to do it within a few minutes. Be very careful to not lose the little screws! The radios include one 2.5mm headset & microphone jack on the top, however the manual doesn't mention this jack except to note that it exists, so I'm not sure what headsets are compatible, or what the pin-out of the 2.5mm plug must be in order to work.As far as distance, all the FRS radios I've tested work up to about a half mile apart with some static. I live in a suburban area with some hills, so the terrain and buildings limits transmission distance. These radios perform as well as others I've tested. While I wouldn't call these "professional" radios, I would definitely call them fully featured. They're definitely a step up from low end "budget" FRS radios.
