This stuff works, but is super low quality. It's runny, and doesn't have great coverage either. The ingredient list is a bit concerning, but what can you expect?

Had a very very slight off putting flavor to it but nothing that would be an issue with most things you include it in. Just to be clear the flavor wasn't detectable when we used it on food, it was just direct on it's own.Don't care for how it smears on some things, you definitely want to brush it on a couple of coats to get a strong look. but once you get it on there nicely it looks great and adds a little bit of extra to both cakes and rims of glasses for drinks.

I make custom sugar cookies and I sometimes use a mixture of gold dust and Everclear to paint gold details on the dried royal icing. I loved the idea of a premixed gold paint that comes with a built in brush. I had some left over royal icing in the fridge, so I let a blob of it dry than tried out this edible paint. It's pretty loose so I couldn't get the coverage I normally get when I make the mixture myself.I did let it air dry for several hours overnight and I can say it did dry well. I rubbed the dried paint and nothing got on my fingers. Too bad the coverage wasn't great, because this would've been very convenient. Hopefully I can find a better use for it. I would also say using a different brush might be better since the one in the lid doesn't seem like the best for painting details.Of course this was only trying it on royal icing. It may work better for other desserts.

While a glitter finish can make a decorated baked item really "pop," it can be a rather messy process to apply, especially if kids are doing the decorating. This liquid glitter makes it much easier and has far less mess. It's much like nail polish in terms of the brush size and liquid consistency -- just dip and paint. It works great for not only items such as sugar cookies, but also to add highlights on frosted items. Since it's a liquid, however, you do need to take care when using it on something that is wet (such as a frosting) or your design will suffer a bit.The color is rather unique -- sort of a lime green that stands out nicely. The bottle comes in a sealed product box, but there was no seal around the bottle cap. It is made in China. It is more expensive than dry glitter, but the ease of use and performance is sufficiently greater that I don't consider the price to be out of range. Five stars.
