We grow baby plants

Wellspring Gardens is the starter plant, AKA “baby plant” shop. We just get you started, so you get all the credit for raising your plants under your green thumb.

We aim to ship your plants when they’re 3-8” tall, though they often ship taller than that.

The exact size of the plant we send you is variable on the time of year and how long we've been growing it out.

The secret to attracting hummingbirds

Hummingbirds don't like competing with other pollinators — like honeybees and butterflies.

Planting long, tubular flowers that only a hummingbird's beak can reach is one surefire way to attract the little birds.

Our flowering plants usually ship without flowers

Since our plants are still babies, they are in a pre-flowering stage of development.

Full-grown plants grow flowers, and some varieties — like the Agapanthus — won't start to flower until they're three years old.

Others can grow flowers at a very young age, so sometimes you might receive a plant with a flower, but it's the exception, not the rule.

These babies won't stay small long...

We send flowering plants while they're still babies, but they have enormous potential.

Power Up Your Baby Flowers' Blooms with Flower Power Fuel Fertilizer

Wellspring Gardens' Flower Power Fuel Fertilizer isn't just any fertilizer – it's a custom blend designed specifically for your budding flowers. Our formula includes a balanced ratio of nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K), the three primary macronutrients that plants need to thrive. But that's not all.

Flower Power Fuel also contains essential intermediate nutrients like calcium, magnesium, and sulfur, as well as a host of micronutrients. Together, these elements work to stimulate strong and healthy growth, helping your baby flowering plant reach its full potential.

Moreover, plants also need carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen, which they naturally get from air and water. When combined with optimal sunlight and watering practices, Flower Power Fuel offers the ideal nutrition profile for your flowers.

Sent tiny dead sticks for wisteria about 3 inches that were around 40.00. Refused to send live wisteria roots after I saw they were not growing. Want a refund or new plants.
