Hot water is clearer and smells better.It took every bit of the rotten egg smell out of my hot water and I just can't believe how well this thing works

Worked great for 3 months and it works great. Took the smell away almost immediately.

It is a terrible rotten egg smell from my hot water. I researched the issue online and discovered that it's likely the anode rod. I purchased this new anode and replaced the original with this new one. Fantastic! The smell went away almost immediately.

Ordered this specifically because it was supposed to come with the tool to remove the old anode. It did not. Very disappointed. Just ordered the tool separately and hoping for the best.

**As for now I will give 5* rating, unknown the longevity yet**Purchased since by hot water smelled something bad, you could smell the washer running from upstairs or the blast coming from the bathroom after a shower. Thinking I would find the old rod rotted away it was just full of gunk but still decided to install this, within a day or 2 the smell was gone. Been in only a few weeks. UNKNOWN warranty of how long this will last but as for now it is doing what it says it will, happy with product for now. Will update if problems start to exist.
