The element seems to be working fine. The socket that was sent to remove the old heater deformed while trying to remove the old element. If the socket would have been able to remove the old element, the rating would have been much higher.

This part fit my 40 year old water heater, and saved me the cost of having to replace it. Installation was straightforward, and it even came with a tool to use as a wrench to remove the old element and replace with this one. It's been installed for a few months and the water is consistently hot.

Perfect kit for repair of single-element water heater, such as in RV or camper. Having the wrench included is a big plus, the shrouding that surrounds most water heaters makes the use of a normal large socket impractical. My installation was a breeze, the fit was perfect. I did not need the included curved protector, but it is there if you need it. The included replacement rubber gasket makes the repair leak-proof.
