I have several soft shackles in my recovery gear and, for being value priced, this one seems well-made and comparable to others some of which cost more. I have not had the opportunity to test it in an actual recovery but did use it when tensioning my winch line. Although it was a bit stiff at first, it performed as expected .

Since the front of my SXS does not have a mounting point for recovery/towing, I will be using this to attach to my bumper. I have others for my jeeps and this one seems just as good. I can't confirm the ratings but see no indications for me to question them.

This is an OK soft shackle. The knot is well tied and the material feels like a decent quality synthetic rope. The only issue I see is that the terminated ends are just flat cut inside the tuck and not tapered. This can weaken the rope section over the cut piece. The shackle will still hold just fine, but it will be a bit weaker than what it could have been if the ends had been tapered.

Compared to my shackles from more well known brands like Warn and Factor55 the rope used here isn't as supple and I haven't had a chance to put them under a high shock load yet but they easily handle the full strength my 12k lb winch can put on them. Good deal for the price. Once I have a chance to do some recoveries with this I'll update my review if I learn anything more but at this point I'm happy with it.

Very pleased and surprised with build quality of this soft shackle. It’s very thick. Also a nice touch that it has a sleeve to prevent the shackle from getting damaged if rubbed on anything. One thing if I suggest is making the knot more like a mushroom to prevent any slippage. But the knot ball seems wide enough that it won’t slip. I have red ones already but having yellow one is nice in muddy or snowy conditions so it’s very bright and easy to see.

I mainly got this to add to my recovery gear for my UTV. I haven't had to recover any vehicles since getting this but I can comment on the quality of the shackle compared to others that I own. It seems very well built. I especially like the durable sheath covering the rope. It covers a larger portion than on the other shackles I have. This seems like it will hold up to quite a bit of rubbing/friction between other ropes, objects, or metal.Out of the other soft shackles I own and have used, none of them are anywhere close to the thickness of this one. Keep this in mind if you are planning to use it with a recovery point that might not accommodate such a large diameter rope. With the sheath, the middle is actually two 1/2 inch diameter ropes combined and is closer to 1 inch. Both ends consist of two smaller 1/2 inch sections connected together.For the price, I think this is a very good option for off-road recovery gear to keep in your vehicle and with the massive 37,478 lb tensile strength, there isn't really too many things it couldn't be used to pull. I would suggest getting two shackles if you don't already have others so you have one for each end of your tow rope.One last thing, the product name/description says that this is a "rope shackle with extra sleeves". The one I got only came with one sleeve and I suspect this was just a typo.
