The machine works. Unfortunately, the lid does not latch securely, as the machine squeals the entire rewinding time. Pressure needs to be applied during rewinding to prevent the squealing noise.

Unit arrived in a few days from ordering. My old one stopped working. These units are hard to come by and a bit pricey for that reason. This unit is much quieter than my old one (same brand). So far it has worked great. Have had it for only a few days.

Totally unhappy with both. One didn’t work and made the most horrible noise. On the way back for refun. The second one works for now but will not pop opened with done rewinding. Afraid of it catching on fire. B

This product didn't work properly when I tried to use it: the door wouldn't stay closed and it wouldn't rewind with the door open. I had to hold the door down for it to work, which it did very slowly. I contacted the seller, who immediately sent a replacement that works well, after telling me I didn't even need to return the defective one. Thanks, John!

It does what it is supposed to do- rewinds video tapes. I still have some oldie but goodies!

The only thing to say is it does what it is build to do. Rewinds tapes fast and safe. My old player had stopped rewinding so I had maybe thirty tapes that couldn't be watched since they were at end on tape. Rewound them all so back in business.

Works as advertised but the auto-eject is pretty random and works part of the time. It rewinds just fine but I would recommend not using this product unsupervised as a tape may be damaged if left in too long after it's done rewinding.
