This solar lantern charged quickly, and the light reflects the pattern as shown in the advertisement. It works as expected. I can see the glow of the unit from about 100 feet in my back yard. It adds a warm, yellow light. The metal itself is thin and its very light - not a negative yet. You can buy with confidence that you are getting exactly as advertised. I like it.

What I mean by practical is that it includes a solar panel at the top so you never have to worry about batteries or power. Just have it charge up during the day, and in the evening as the sun wanes it starts to shine a beautiful floral and butterfly projection. It's not as bright as in the product photos - at night it will shine up bright enough, but not to illuminate anything - just bright enough to see the projections. However, with the current coupon, you can get it for right around $20, so this makes a nice, cheap gift.
