I was pretty skeptical about these and was still skeptical when I opened the bag. Once I started playing with them, I changed my mind completely. These things are super solid and not going anywhere.I used both ropes(?) to connect my tractor (electric riding mower) to a pesky stump I had been meaning to get out. These things worked like a champ and I used them in unision, tired onto each other. It's a lot easier to use than a U bracket. Also lighter and don't have to worry about it scratching up anything or sliding around causing damage in your truck/trailer.Quite curious how much load these can actually take, but will let someone else do the test. This were more than enough for me and would trust them to pull my boat or anything else.

Impossible to confirm the payload claims but they do seem a bit slimmer than similar ones I’ve worked with. I do like the outer shell it comes with the cover the rope portion. This will help in protecting it while in use.For the price, I’ll probably use them a couple of times and be okay with disposing of them but I’ll have to make that determination later. So far, seems to be worth the asking price especially if your needs are geared toward ATV recovery.

Decent soft shackles. In my couple tests at home, they worked fine dragging vehicles and some heavy equipment. There is no way to say if they have a breaking strength of 60k and I highly doubt they can do that. The working strength of 11,000 is much more like it. Time will tell with use.

Pretty much all the tow ropes available have loops on both ends. You cannot simply tie the tow rope around a bumper or connection point since as soon as you start pulling on the rope, the knot will tighten up and I mean really tight. This has happened to me a couple of times and the only way to get the rope off was to cut it off. With expensive tow ropes you don’t want to do this. . The Tirequik soft shackles are made of polyethylene so they are extremely strong and can get wet without shrinking. Also they float which comes in handy if you need to tow something out of the water. Being made of rope, they have no sharp corners to scratch or bend. They are 22 inches which is the standard size, come with protective sleeves around the shackle. So if you tow, enjoy off-road, have ATV’s or in my case, need to get your stuck riding mower away from the lake edge when you mow too close, these soft rope shackles are just what you need (along with the towing rope.)

I ordered these shackles to pull things out of the mud. They’re easy to use and will work fine in the woods. The nylon is one piece, so there aren’t any hard, burnt ends that can break loose. I’d feel confident using one or two of these to pull my buddies out of a mud hole. I think they’re competitively priced, faster, and more convenient than rigging up my metal d-ring shackles for quick pulls.
