Definitely eliminates the smell of cat! Better smell while scooping, I don’t smell ammonia. Love how long the bag of pellets last ! Value for the money.I started sprinkling the pellets at the bottom then added the old litter on top. Made for an easy transition.

It doesn't come with pee pads....what it does come with is several pee-pad-sized pieces of cardboard. I thought "Well. This must be some kind of high-absorbancy paper board." Nope. Just regular cardboard, I found out, when I opened the drawer and found it floating in a puddle of pee. That was fun. I used the TidyCats Breeze pads in it, but I also found Amazon Brand makes pee pads that are way more affordable and work just as well. Still looking for an affordable dupe for the TidyCats Breeze pellet litter. I'll give it a 5 star rating because I'm rating the litter box itself, which is actually quite high quality, just as good as the TidyCats one. Easy to disassemble and hose off for cleaning. Just as big as the TidyCats box. And when using the Breeze litter pellets and the Amazon Brand pee pads, there's no odor issue. I hope this helps someone and you buy the pee pads before using this, haha.

A piece of the plastic by the drawer did break on the first time trying to clean this thing but it’s the best sifting litter box I’ve found. I clean the poop out once a day and the pee about once a week and I can’t smell anything with it. It’s large enough for my cat to be comfortable in it. I like that I never really have to pour out all of the pine pellets since the dust sifts out.

Ok so first you take it out and set it up only to realize that standard pee pads that fit competitors dont fit and are too long by a 1/2 inch and not wide enough by about two inches. BUT wait! They provide cardboard pee pad liners which when your cat pees once its totally absorbed if you wait a day the actual tray is filled up with cat pee!!! To change this was a nightmare. There is NO WAY around having to 1. Dump pee and then rinse grass where said pee was dumped. 2. Pry the wet cardboard from the tray with your now pee hands. 3. Wash the tray. 4. Figure out how to cut down and shimmy the actual good Amazon or Fresh Breeze Pads. HORRIBLE!!!!!!I was like "Oh this is basically the same at the Breeze system I have but $20+ less. Great Ill try it!" NOPE worst decision EVER because now I am at a loss and have to reorder the Breeze System so now $80+ in the hole.OH it gets better! The lil' cat scooper that nicely clips and hangs on the side of the breeze system and doesnt impede cats area of use - THIS ONE hangs and the handle arcs into about 4" of the use area and ultimately less space for your cat to maneuver. TOTAL CRAP.Just wait Im not done... The inside grate area that the cats step into is so flimsy. The pellets alone weigh it down and bow much less your cat gets in it and you can hear the plastic creaking!!! YES TOTAL CRAP!I am beyond disappointed. Thanks for nothing Small Pet Select. You are hitting the trash and back to the absolutely PERFECT Breeze System.PS I would have given Zero Stars for the absorbency if it was an option. Purely gets one star for Sturdiness because well you can see it exists in some form. And only 1 star for easy to clean because you can pick it up and haul it outside to hose off...DONT BUY THIS!!!

I wanted to give this 5 stars, but I am going to go with 4 stars because (1. It was advertised as having 5 pee pads included, but they only included 2) and (2. The bottom tray is not deep enough.The pee pads that are advertised are just cardboard slats and they don't absorb anything. It is better to use real pee pads in the bottom tray, but then the pee pad takes up most of the room in the tray because it just isn't deep enough. It fills up quickly if you have multiple cats, causing you to constantly check to see if it needs to be dumped.It is a decently large sized Litter Box, but my cats are extra large and fluffy ragdolls, and sometimes used the bathroom outside of the box. My smaller cats had no problem using the box correctly though. It will work great for kittens and small to medium sized cats. If you have a large breed cat that needs more room, it may not work for you.The box is excellent for Pine Pellet Litter. There aren't a lot of options out there for a pine pellet box and this one does work well. I love that the tray has holes all throughout the bottom. Those holes will get clogged fast from the bottom tray filling up though, so it needs to be dumped quite often. The tray at the bottom is just too shallow in my opinion. The tray at the bottom is fine, if you want to be locked into cleaning it every couple hours in order to keep it from overflowing. The tray really should be deeper. I had a hard time finding a tub to fit underneath, in order to replace the bottom tray. In the end, I replaced the whole box with the XL Breeze because it was larger and would work better for my ragdoll cats. If they were to redesign this box into an XL version with a much deeper tray, I would definitely purchase it.

I got this as a second litter box in a house that already gas a Purina Breeze system; this box is far superior for pine pellets. They do not get stuck and the scooper is much better. My only complaint is that it comes with cardboard rather than actual pee pads, so I assumed that would work. No, I would recommend pee pads (Amazon sells the perfect size) and a good trashcan within reach. Once everything is close together, it is super simple, and I love it.
