Perfect timing to get this hose racking assembly so I can put it to use at my new house. This is a really well engineered system that allows you to install it using four screws into a side house wall or as I did into a 4x4 post I sunk about 40" into the ground near my rock driveway. Very easy to install the mount and hook up to your existing hose bib. The hose will stay in place unless you want it to retract and a simple pull allows it to recoil nicely for Easy, quick storage. The mount alows it to swivel so it turns right and left. This is a well made system that was super easy to mount and should last years. It has everything you need including hose nozzles that allows easy control, connection and convenient storage. This unit is being offered at a good value and contains everything needed to complete a custom water Outpost. I would recommend this as a well engineered and built item that should last for years. I really was surprised at how easy it was and even happier at how well everything turned out. I think I will build a small box and put A Car Care System together with this to make it convenient being as I have no garage.

The retractable garden hose has worked out wonderfully over the last month. Using this almost ever day over the last 30 days. It's been a pleasure to use while getting our vegetable starts in the ground.I'm impressed with the mounting bracket and hose housing. This is a fairly heavy piece of equipment so when mounting keep that in mind. It comes with an easy mount template and large heavy-duty screws. It's just a matter of drilling 4 holes using the template and Then the mounting bracket can be screwed into the wall or post. The hose housing just slides down into the mounting bracket and one large stake sized pin locks it into place. I used a cordless drill and driver for the installation. As a senior lady, it only took me about 15 minutes to install.The hose's 100ft long length, with a bit of strategic placement, was able to be mounted where I could reach our entire veggie garden that runs 50' x 100'. I've connected this without any leaks to a standard hose for even more distance out to a couple fruit trees. The equipment comes with two different sprayer nozzles but will also accept any standard size hose attachment I have a long wand type nozzle that goes fine with this retractable hose.It's worked out to be very convenient and has saved me so much time. The retrack works flawlessly and the mounting assembly swivels to which ever way I need it to aim.The maintenence directions recommend storing in a cool dry place if not in use for a 'long time'. This isn't a problem for winter removal. It's just the one stake sized pin that needs to be pulled to remove for storage.

I ordered this for the side of my house since I was so sick of having to roll my hose up every time I needed to use it onto a patio block I have in the area where I cut out the ground cover. I have a similar hose reel unit at my rental property that I manage and I absolutely love it since it's so easy to pull the hose out to use it then retract it when finished. I paid a lot of money for the other unit and was surprised to see the one at the price it was listed for. I will say that the actual hose on my other hose reel seems thicker and more durable, but other than that the two units are very comparable.It's great that this unit has a nice mount and that the large unit with the hose swivels from left to right to make it easier, especially for my situation, depending on if I want to water the front yard or rear yard. There is a small hose that connects from the unit to the tap from the house and it fits well. I used a wrench to tighten it and I do get a few small drips out of the connection, but nothing concerning.The large unit that holds the hose is good. I'm not sure why blue was selected for the accent color. I think it would look better if it was all one color, but it's not a deal breaker for me. The hose pulls out easily and retracts well, too. I did experience some leaking from the nozzle that came with this, but I just switched it out for one that I already had and haven't had any issues with it.I will say, from my own experience, if you live in an area that gets below freezing in the winter, it is best to remove this unit and store it in the garage for the winter months. Because the hose is completely enclosed it's unlikely the larger unit that holds it will ever dry out completely before temperatures drop and if that water freezes, it has the potential to crack any plastic pieces inside the unit rendering it useless unless you can get a replacement part, which is doubtful these days since manufacturers don't seem to want you to repair their products, only buy new.Overall I am happy with this hose reel and find that it provides a lot of convenience compared to other options. I would recommend it!
