This is a funny gift for retiring coworkers! Grabbed this for a friend who is retiring. Overall smells great, like a cinnamon cereal. Love the presentation, love the smell, just wish the candle was slightly larger, but for the cost this is a good value for the money.

Timing is everything and this candle has perfect timing. I probably won't burn it because I want it to last forever. Just keeping the top off is strong enough to fill my room with the perfect scent of lavender and it puts a smile on my face whenever I look at it. It reminds me that other people's problem's are no longer mine. I keep it right next to my monitor and love it.

at 12 dollars I would not recommend this candle just to have a candle. But the saying on it is fun so if you have someone you want to gift it to it's great.Medium recommend.

I love candles and also giving candles as gifts. I feel they make a good gift because the receiver can burn them and then toss them when they're done with it. This candle is good for someone who is retiring - I really like what it says on the jar. However, I will say that the scent in this candle is barely there and it doesn't necessarily smell like lavender. It smells sweeter. Sort of like a vanilla with maybe a faintest hint of lavender. It's a nice size and comes in a heavy duty glass jar. If you're buying this for a lavender scent then skip it, but if you're buying this as a retirement gift then I still think its worth it and would make a nice gift.

Nice packaging for a good. Smells nice, scent goes a little bit toward a soap scent but not unpleasant and the saying on the candle is perfect!

I would categorize this as a gag gift. It's funny and nobody would ever refuse a candle as a gift. However it is not anywhere close to fancy so best paired with another gift. By the way I actually burned it 'cause I don't know anyone who's retiring, and although the smell is neutral like vanilla beans perhaps, there is wisp of black smoke that's not desirable.

This is a cute candle with a fun message on the label for a friend, relative or co-worker who is retiring. In my case, that person is me, and it makes me smile every time I look at the well-placed label on the glass jar that holds the candle. I like that there is a screw on lid to keep dust out of the candle when it’s not burning. The lavender scented candle leaves a lovely, but not overpowering, scent. At the time of this review, the price is about 12-dollars which I think is reasonable for a fun gift that is nicely and securely packaged in a cardboard box. You might find a 7-ounce generic candle for less in a discount store, but it won’t be a candle made with 100% soy wax and a cotton wick. I like that soy wax is a sustainable and eco-friendly wax that burns cleanly. That cheaper candle will likely be made with paraffin wax – at least partially – which is a petroleum by-product that is known to release toxins. It’s also sooty when it burns, so it’s a case of you get what you pay for.

The label, this whole candle actually, looks nicer in person than it does in the images.I like how the box it comes in doesn’t repeat what’s on the candle. You have to open it up see what it is. I think this is a good choice for a retirement gift. For one it is small because no one retiring wants to carry a whole bunch of stuff when they are already having to do that. It’s also practical, no one else will be getting them this, and candles are relaxing. Plus it smells really good. The scent is very unisex - good for both genders.Yes, the candle itself is a little silly. But I kinda like how corny it is.
