This is a nice enough candle to give as a congratulations gift. The lavender scent is quite nice. At the time of ordering, it was $12.99 which I feel is pretty reasonable. Only 2 percent at most can achieve and Ph.D. - so with a candle that burns up to 50 hours is a nice way to remind that person how happy you are for him or her.
