These are a great size. The mesh is fine enough for media to stay inside. I find it a little tedious trying to tuck in the knotted part. I hope they make ones this size with plastic zippers so I can use them in my slim hanging filters. I will continue to use them for my smaller media material. It is a good product.

I bought these filter bags for my Biocube 32. Two fit perfect side by side. I used these on one level of my filter for activated charcoal, and on the bottom level for ceramic rings to establish my bio filter. The tie strings are long, and make it easy to secure the contents in the bag. They are 3x4 inches. They would fit most filters. I would highly recommend these filter bags.

I was frustrated as the carbon things I could buy were too large to fit in my foam filter spot in my Fluval tank.I was having to cut them open, drain half, and then fold it up to fit it in there. I was tired of wasting so much of the carbon.This lets me get any size carbon bags that are priced well when I'm purchasing, and I can cut them open and pour them into these as needed. Then I just dump these out when it's time for a change, and fill again.Makes things SO much easier and I no longer have to waste any product.
