These work great but require you to wear a camisole or tank top under your top so that you can attach them to the shoulder straps, they do not have safety pins to attach to the top itself. Very light weight with strong fasteners, hide well under sweaters and heavier tops.

I bought these should strap retainers for two tops I have which would slide down revealing bra straps. Looking at the reviews, I sewed them in every way described. None of the methods worked well and many resulted in bumps showing along the shoulders. In addition, once sewn in, they are hard to use. You have to fiddle with them looking down at the shoulder seam and you can't quite see what you are doing. I wouldn't reach for a top with these because I wouldn't want to fuss with them -- getting them on or off.I took the two tops to my tailor. He was able to take in one but not the other. I gave that one away.

With just the barest, rudimentary hand sewing skill, these can be permanently attached to any top. I use them predominantly to keep tops with larger necks up on my shoulders. Once attached, they are invisible when the garment is worn. Rather than sewing one end, I folded mine and back stitched them down in the middle, attaching them to the seam allowance where the sleeve is set in the garment. It took just minutes. For those complaining about lack of safety pins, really? Don’t you have a needle, thread and five minutes?

I’ve been plagued with bra straps that slip off my shoulders and have tried different things, and I think these are a great solution. All I did was tack them down to my shirts top seam with a few stitches. They really do keep my straps in place, and they go through the washer and dryer fine. It does take a little practice to close them over the strap since the position is awkward, but I can easily do it now. I have some knit tops that don’t have top seams so I don’t think these would be good for those so I guess it depends on the fabric. I’ve already bought more so I’m happy with this purchase.

These straps probably work but now I need to buy double tape to attach them to a top as I prefer not to saw them in. The package has a picture of an English pin on it but if I were to use the pin, why would I need the straps? I would attach the bra straps directly to the top.

These are just what I’ve been looking for. My mother used to have these sewn into dresses and tops to keep her bra straps from showing. I looked everywhere for these and finally found them on Amazon. I was so excited to find them. They work perfectly. I do wish they came in white but the flesh color is okay.

The reviews complaining about the product simply say that those costumers don't know how to use the product. It is true that in the picture there is a safety pin and it is not included, but the product is clearly labeled as the fasteners and not as a kit or anything that includes anything but what is really the little strap that keeps the bra strap in place. You will find 4 of those in nude/pink-beige color.Like with any garment that includes this useful feature, it works best if sewn on. You need to sew it on. It is that easy. Sew just one end, making sure the piece goes horizontal on the garment strap and you are done. If the garment strap has a seam, follow that seam and try to sew it right on it, it will be less noticeable. It took me 2 minutes to do mine, may not be beautiful on the inside but it will work perfectly fine and it is barely noticeable on the outside. A safety pin would be just as noticeable I think, but you could remove it and use the holder on another garment next time. More flexibility, but you need to have the pins. I recommend the smallest kind because this little fastener is very narrow, as it should be so it fits any thin strap.I don't think it would work for bras with a wider shoulder strap, probably just regular ones, look at my pictures to see the results and how big the loop is.

There are two possible uses for this product, depending on whether it’s your underwear straps or your top that won’t stay put. For me it’s my tops (my bra straps aren’t going anywhere) and these little gems have actually helped keep my wardrobe stable. In the past I’ve returned or donated several tops with necklines that kept slipping sideways. But since I purchased these retainers I just attach the tops to my bra straps and voila! problem solved. Now I must come up with another reason to buy more tops...

The photo shows these being held in place by a safety pin. Yep, that's what you will need to keep it where you want it.... unfortunately, there are no safety pins in the pkg. If you are good with going out to buy your own pins, then this product might work for you.
