Setup was a breeze, and this thing’s a wall climber—seriously scrubs the waterline better than I expected. Sucks up leaves and gunk no prob, but fine pollen slips right through the filter mesh. App’s a bit fussy to connect too. Still, it makes pool days less of a chore. Just wish the filter was finer—Florida pollen’s relentless.

This pool cleaner is so easy to set up and run. Literally out of the box, plug it in, and you are ready to clean the pool! The controls on the side were easy to flip through once I figured it was done by turning it on and quickly. The cord is long enough to be effective as long as the electric box is set in the middle of the long edge of the pool (mine is 16x24). You can set the pool cleaner to clean the walls or the floor or both. I left mine set on "Both" and there were sometimes it would be in the middle of floor and look like it was trying to climb the wall. I just reset it and started again, and it seemed ok.Cleaning the basket is a breeze. It easily is removed from the machine and both the top and bottom open for through cleaning. I like the design a lot with the basket.We started using it when we opened the pool and it took many, many rotations of running it to clean it half-way. I am not sure if it is the run time or how thick the holes are in the filtering basket. Now that the pool is set it is doing well with the bigger stuff.Overall, it is a good cleaner. I think I have some more to figure out about it, but for the price it works well, does a good job, is very easy to figure out how to work, ready out of the box, and is easy to clean the basket.

I've been running the Hydro 4 SE pool cleaner for about 3 weeks now, and I'm beyond happy with the cleaning performance!! I first noticed how user-friendly this machine is. While having seemingly more sophisticated technology built in, it's still easy to use, which is great for beginners.I've used this in both our in ground and above ground pools, and it works great in both! (Both pools are rectangular shaped with a slight slope at the edges) The battery life is long enough to clean both pools before needing to be recharged, which is pretty amazing. It also charges quickly, long before needing to be used again, too.What I like most beyond the cleaning quality is the design and color of the exterior! It's very beautiful in appearance.Overall, the Poolmate Hydro SE is a very good quality cordless robotic pool cleaner! I would highly recommend this to others. Thank you!

So far so good. It has done a really good job of cleaning my pool. Although its wired, Its perfectly sized to reach every part of the pool. It boasts that the wire doesn't kink, but within the 3 weeks of use I've had to remove 3 knots. Other than that, I'm impressed and don't mind that its wired.

Looks solidly built. It also seems super easy to use, basically plug in the power unit to a 110v outlet, attach the robot to the power unit with the provided 40 foot cord and turn on. Drop in your pool and the robot just makes its way around cleaning the pool bottom. Easy filter removal so you can clean it out. Still too early to open our pool but will update the review once I get it installed and working.

This was easy to set up and use right out of the box, but still have a little difficulty getting it to stay connected to the phone app. I think that it is a great pool vacuum and functions well for picking up pool debris like all the examples it mentions. I also think something this brings to the table that pool crawlers don't is that it does seem to effectively climb all the way up the wall and scrub / clean the water line along the top edge of the pool wall, and that reduces labor as we usually scrub this ourselves. Its also easy to retrieve when its done its cycle. We live in Florida, and despite having a screened in pool enclosure, pollen still gets in, and I think that the mesh of the filter on the vacuum isn't fine enough to capture pollen in it, so instead of completely replacing our crawler, we will probably alternate days between using the crawler and using the pool vacuum. It is a really great vacuum, and it does more than most pool vacuums than I've seen, but because it doesn't connect to the pool filter, and because it doesn't have a filter fine enough to get the pollen out, we will have to still run both the pool vacuum and the pool crawler, which makes its value for the money a little less for us. If you live in a low pollen environment you probably could replace your crawler and maybe even your pool pump and filter with this.
