Like just like so many other customers, after only a few uses, this thing stopped recharging all of a sudden. Conveniently outsideof the return window, so now we have a $500 doorstop. I cannot believe they would sell such a consistently defective and expensive product.

Let me save you $550 and a few months of grief: DO NOT BUY FROM BackyardPoolSuperstore.I purchased a Spabot Automatic Spa Cleaner in early March. The item crapped out after one use. Total junk. I returned it promptly—with tracking numbers and everything—expecting a standard refund process.Instead, I was met with stall tactics and gaslighting. The seller refused to process my refund, absurdly insisting that I contact the manufacturer even though they had already received the returned item. This is not just a lazy deflection tactic—it's an unethical way to delay refunds while they sit on your money.Let me break it down:-Product failed immediately.-Returned item in March.-Refund not processed until late May—nearly THREE MONTHS later.-Multiple emails, Amazon involvement, and my repeated demands were required just to get what I was owed. This kind of behavior is deeply troubling. Imagine 1,000 customers buying this defective product, each paying ~$550. That’s over half a million dollars they get to sit on—earning interest, investing, or padding their books—while customers are left in financial limbo. That’s not bad business. That’s borderline criminal.Their entire correspondence is riddled with contradictions, delays, and a complete lack of accountability. They use “policy” as a shield to ignore consumer rights and basic ethics. Worse, their initial response to Amazon didn’t even acknowledge the fact that they had already received my returned product. That’s either negligence or outright deception.Bottom line:-Product = garbage.-Service = insulting.-Trust = obliterated.Save yourself the stress and buy from literally anyone else.

Do not buy this without reading the reviews! Cleaner worked great the first time I used it, then it wouldn't take a charge. I believe the issue is the charging port isn't sealed and when I went to charge it a 2nd time it wouldn't take the charge.Same complaint as everyone else. Too bad because as I said it worked great for my Spa the one and only time it would take a charge. Fortunately I am within the return time frame. The vacuum does everything it claimed, climbed the walls, steps and even cleaned the bench. However need it to retake a charge after using once.

I had high hopes for this product but after having it for just over a year I am thoroughly disappointed. It has managed to clean my built-in spa a total of 3, maybe 4 times. Every other time it cleans some portion and then floats to the top, even on a full, fresh charge, or gets “stuck” head- first on one of the walls - floating, mind you, and not even cleaning the seating level- until it runs down the battery. If I could give it zero stars I would. Complete waste of money.

Due to a shipping error beyond the senders control, we received this product weeks later than we should have. When we finally unpackaged and used it, it only worked twice before the unit failed. Went to return the item and since we are now beyond the return window, we are unable to. Now we just have a very expensive and impractical paper weight that will have to be thrown in the dumpster. Do not recommend this product!!!

This very expensive spa cleaner arrived a few days ago. It came charged and initially worked. Since then it has proven to be impossible to recharge. Huge disappointment and extremely frustrating. Now must take time to repackage and return. Do not recommend.

I loved this Spa vacuum. When it worked it did an awesome job cleaning up the sand and debris from the spa. However, like many of these cordless pool vacuums it will fail to charge after a few uses. I had two of these, the first one failed after maybe a little over month. It just wouldn't charge. Even though it failed so soon, I liked it so much that I was hoping it was a fluke and decided to get another one. The second one didn't last more than two days, failing with the same issue, which was not charging. I recommend getting the extended warranty if you decide to buy one.The way this did such a good job, I wish that Polaris would develop one just like it, but a plug in like their bigger models. Great product, but fails as a cordless option.

We’ve used a Polaris cleaner in our pool for almost 20 years on a daily basis during the summer months. Aside from having to replace a few parts it’s a real workhorse. So when I saw this wireless cleaner for our hot tub made by Polaris I thought it would be great. And it is. I’ve only used it about 6 times and had no charging issues. I just make sure to charge it fully before I use it and it does a great job cleaning the hot tub. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because sometimes it spins its wheels trying to climb the seat. It eventually climbs but just takes a little time.

When I received the Spabot, I was a little worried. Honestly, it feels a little cheap and not what I expected for the price tag. After a few rain storms here in So CA, I am very glad I purchased this spa cleaner. It really does a fantastic job! It cleans all areas of my spa except for the upper most step surface. It picks up pretty much everything that ends up in the spa; leaves, twigs, whatever falls of the trees around my house. Overall, I'm very pleased with this purchase and would recommend the Spabot. If you do buy the cleaner, note that there's a manufacturer's $50 rebate running for a few months as well.
