I bought my first Nitto MT-10 back in 1996 or 97 for a Rivendell Atlantis frame I was assembling. Since then I’ve owned three more- one came with my 2005 Bike Friday New World Tourist, and more recently, for my Rivendell Clem and Platypus. It’s a Nitto, so you know it’s a super strong forged stem that can hold up to off road riding. The form is perfect for raising the bars when converting road bikes with dropbars to more upright riding. I’ve used it with drops, with moustache bars, with straight bars, and with swept back bars, on road and off.

I needed this because I had a professional bike fitting that raised the seatpost quite a bit, and the original handlebar stem did not have enough extension to match. My old stem was two pieces of stamped steel; this one is solid aluminum and is a work of art. It does exactly what I need it to do.
