Holds a 100' expandable hose fine. I can't hang it anywhere on any of my water spigots as 2 are too close to the ground and one is close enough to an electrical box that it makes one side stick out so instead of being flush against the wall, it hangs at a diagonal. Wouldn't be a big deal and it might still work okay but no matter if it's sitting on the ground or hanging, the lid refuses to stay on. Bump it slightly? Lid pops off. Basically look at it wrong and the lid will come off. It should have a better snap on system to hold it in place instead of just sitting on top like it does. It's really just okay. A little costly for what it is, the fact the lid won't stay on and unfortunately in just trying to make it work, it got all scratched up from my stucco so I can't return it so stuck with it. I should have just sent it back without even putting it together.

I thought this "Tryitsbest Garden Hose Holder Pot with Lid" would be quite convenient for our deck collapsible hose. While YES, it is a nice concept to hang the hose box on the outdoor faucet - keeping it off the ground and neatly hidden - there are a few things about it that really irk me.First of all, the assembly.- Although it is made of a fairly heavy plastic material, it is definitely an 'assembly required' item. Why an item this reasonably small should require me to assemble it at home (and have all of the exposed hardware as a result), I'll never understand. And the 'installs in seconds' is a bit deceptive, in my opinion, as it requires you to screw 8 nuts and bolts together (not too bad, but still...this isn't box store furniture).- I'd also advise caution because those two bottom bolts are longer than the plastic bottom, so you can scratch things if you slide it across, say, a table or deck floor.- Then you have to 'pop' the handle's 4 'buttons' into the 4 holes at the top of the bucket. But only two would 'pop' in by hand (and we both tried to do it). The other two, even after using an ordinary set of pliers to exert more force, required a pipe wrench to finally force them into place - and marking up the plastic in the process.- All in all, this took more like 20 minutes to assemble, not 'seconds'.Second of all, the lid just sits loosely on top of the bucket. So every time you pull out the hose, the cover pops off. Already my husband is saying things like "I just won't use the cover, then!"...ugh, well THAT'S not what I had in mind! And lastly, maybe it's just OUR hose, but the plastic handle piece where it attaches to the faucet has to lie on top of the cover, since it sticks out too far to be brought down into either of the cutouts, no matter which way I install the cover.

This works great with my expandable hose. I wanted something that would shade it from the sun, and, with the cover, this fits the bill. To be honest, for my purposes, I probably should have gotten the white one, because the black will get hot, but, I still think this will be better than just leaving it out.I haven't decided where to hang it yet. I think I will probably put up a nail, because my faucets are older, and I don't want to put any extra weight on them (though, it really is very lightweight!). Also, I think that on a hanger, of some sort, would be more easily moved around, if I needed to go to the other faucet.Honestly, this shows pictures of using this hose container with 50 ft. rigid hose - I don't see that happening, even if it would hold it, I would have to spend so much time rolling it up small enough to fit. But, I don't think it would fit, even at that. The handle is on there pretty good, but I don't think it would support such a great weight. Others will have to attest to that. The hose carrier came together nicely. It was designed so that the nuts fit into hex indentations, which made it a breeze to screw together. I wish more things were designed that way!Since I have only had this a short time, I can not vouch for its longevity, but I am just so happy with this find, that I will find a place to keep it out of direct sun, and will not be leaving it out in the winter.Great idea and implementation, but might need to be used only with lighter weight hoses.

I have a expanding garden hose and I know how important it is to protect it from the sun. This hose holder works perfectly. I simply hung it on my water pipe and placed my 50 ft hose in it. It fit well. It is also very easy to access my hose when I need to use my hose.I found that I don't need to remove the whole hose when I only need a foot or two. The hose does expand and drift out of the holder, but as soon as I turn the spigot off and the water drains, it goes right back into place. This is a very simple solution that works exactly as needed. I'm very happy with this hose holder!

I didn’t think I was gonna have to put this together, but luckily it was super simple. It hangs over my faucet just fine and has more than enough space to fit my 100 foot expandable water hose inside.

Good way to hide away your water hose so you don't have a tangled mess of water hose around your water spigot. Easy to assemble with 8 nuts/bolts. Just make sure you look to see which end the nut goes into (it's the end that has the hex shape molded into the plastic to keep the hex nut from spinning around. Plastic seems durable. The lid does tend to want to pop off on its own and there aren't any notches molded into the plastic to lock the lid in place on top of the bucket. I sort of solved that problem by just keeping the sprayer at the end of my water hose in the holes on top of the lid to weigh it down.
