This switch was purchased for stock (service business) as it was a neat option for remote garbage disposal activation. Installed at a home and within a year it stopped working. We contacted seller and they provided instructions to reset it but the switch (plug) became unresponsive. Seller response was that we caused the damage.Bottom line: the switch failed under regular working conditions in a short period of time, being installed in a dry, code-compliant location. If this was a $9.99 product I would say ok let's buy another, but this is priced right among quality brand products, so we expected it to last longer. We unfortunately won't be able to offer this product again, and remain disappointed with the seller's response.

This item works perfect for me. I recently remodles my kitchen and the sink is now in an island so i no longer had a convenient spot for a garbage disposal switch. I also did not want to have to drill a hole in the counter for a button. This was a perfect solution. Easily plugged into outlet the plugged the disposal in . I normally keep it next to the faucet but could easily stick it elsewhere if its in the way. Was not sure if i would ever use the timers but i have used the 30 sec a few times already. Highly recommend.

This review is for the black 4 button wireless model with magnetic base:So I decided to bite the bullet and try drilling my granite countertop myself and install an air switch. Well using a wireless option instead never crossed my mind, and just found out about it via this listing. I went with this one compared to others as listed as supporting up to 2 horsepower models. (Mine came with the house, so I don't know my horsepower, but working fine with whatever my in-sink-erator model is)I have smart plugs I could have used, but with safety concerns like needing to immediately shut it off via Alexa sounded like a bad idea. Well this product eliminates all that with its wireless remote. I like the 30/60 seconds being an option that was not on the newer model, so I went with the older one. As a suggestion, a 15 second and a 30 second might be more useful on a future model, but I like the pretty much instant on/off response from the remote. Remote came paired out of the box, so no setup was necessary...just plug it in and away you go!Looking at reviews and questions before purchase, I would like to clear up that there IS a replaceable battery in the remote for this model. There is a battery cover on the back of the remote itself. Not sure how much of the confusion is the Amazon listing including the air switch models in the same listing, or people looking at the back of the magnetic base without first separating it from the remote.

It would work for just about anything you can turn on and off by unplugging it. Like a lamp. I used it for my garbage disposal. They built my house with the garbage disposal switch under the sink. This moved the switch to a way more convenient location. Oh, don't mount it in a very high traffic area. The magnet is weak. Any slight nudge will nock it off of the mount. I put it up out of the way on a wall. I pull it from the location and set it next to the sink if I need to use it. Still better than under the sink.

No more playing with air switches that have to be replaced every couple of years.This baby works great and is easy to install. Everyone should get one.

Works great, but not if it is on the base that comes with it. We just set it on the counter and it works like a charm.
