Not impressed with the quality of this product. Looked great and was very easy to install. However, after just a few weeks of normal use, the black finish is already chipping off exposing the shine underneath. Now to replace, I have to take apart a brand new disposal system. I do not recommend this at all.

Installation went well, no issues. Arrived in new unused condition with no issues or distress to packaging. Unit has been in 3 weeks and looks awful, the rim has worn off to metal color no longer black. I have NOT used any scrubbing cleaner or scrubbing pads on this unit. Rarely use the disposal and there are only 2 adults in household. Very disappointed in the finish not lasting. Our previous one lasted 2 years.

We had to use the old silver ring with the new black sink which was a little disappointing because this wouldn't fit, Even though it was supposed to be the same size

Indentation isn't deep enough to hold the retainer ring provided by American Standard. It pops off when I barely tighten the screws to the upper mount ring.
