The included ice picks are a nice bonus for early or late ice. Hope I never need to use them, but it's nice to know I have them if necessary. The jacket is lightweight and not bulky at all. 2 nice sized pockets for storing bait pucks, pliers etc...2 fleece lined handwarmer pockets keep your hands warm in temps too warm for gloves, but too cold to go bare handed. The only drawback is the angle of the zippers prevent them from being zipped/unzipped one handed. Nice big adjustable hood can fit over probably all hats. 150 grams of Thinsulate keep you warm. Supposed to be waterproof but haven't tested that yet. All in all, a very nice warm, durable jacket for the money.

I bought this coat to go with the matching Frabill bibs I got 2 seasons ago and so far I love the suit combo. The coat is super warm and very comfortable, the sleeves are the perfect length, and the neoprene cuffs are amazing. They slide right into the big opening of my Fish Monkey Yeti gloves, and that helps keep my wrists from getting any type of wind. The coat is very lightweight which made me nervous, but I have yet to be cold wearing it with a hoodie under it. I really put it to the test the end of January 2022 when we went on a guided airboat trip on the Mississippi River. It was -35° windchill when we took off and for the conditions, this coat kept me very comfortable. The only complaints I have with this coat are it’s a little shorter in the front than I would like, but not a problem at all if you have bibs. The second complaint is the hood is a little weird. But for the price, you can’t beat this coat. I would absolutely recommend this coat and I would definitely buy it again if this one wears out.I’m 5’10” and about 250 give or take a few beers and burgers. It fits me perfect with a hoodie under it and I could definitely wear another hoodie if I ever wanted to but this thing is so warm you’ll never need it. Like I said, it’s a little short in the front, but I also got a little bigger of a front end than the average joe.

I love this jacket. Its not a float jacket, don't get confused about that. It is however, cheap and warm and well designed. If you are looking for a simple ice fishing jacket that falls into those categories, this is it.

I've had my top and bibs through 5 ice fishing seasons and there awesome. Knees start to fray after a few years if you're on the knees a lot.I coated them with flex seal and they're all better now.My wife started coyote hunting with me and would freeze her butt off, so I got her the same set as me because I know they work. No more cold wife👍

I’m a longshoreman and spend up to 16 hours about 200 feet in the air on container ships in the freezing cold. So I needed something that’d keep me warm especially during snow, rain, and bad weather. Well, this jacket not only works VERY well, but sometimes I even get a little too warm, even when it’s snowing. It’s surprisingly thin and lightweight, but it works better than I expected, dare I say even perfectly! I usually wear something like under armour and/or long Johns underneath during severe cold weather, but it works so well that sometimes I forgoe having to wear them and do just fine with the jacket and bibs. I’ve yet to experience a single shift where I’m cold since buying the jacket, and I recommend the bibs too if you’re going to be working in elements such as snow, ice, rain, etc. It seems almost like something NASA designed because it works so damn well.

I wanted a super comfortable coat I can use in any cold use. The jacked is one that I use every way. Runs log on purpose to allow you to layer fleece, sweatshirt, etc. It has HUGE hand warmer pockets on each side and they do keep your hands warm. Has a nice pocket to hold my cell phone. It has a removable cap that can be adjusted to fit me perfectly. Has a lot of pockets that I do not even use. I also tried the Ice Armor Jacket as a base coat and this one as they each come was better suited my need for cold weather uses. Exceptional deal for the price IMO!

I bought this several months after I got the bibs. It fits me well, super warm, and lots of pockets. I don't go out on thin ice but love knowing the safety picks are always there.

Great jacket. Went with these over a couple different models. The i2's are a little cheaper but I liked this style slightly better in the jacket. Also bought the i3 bibs. The i4 and i5 are nice but didn't want to spend that much.I had the most trouble fiding sizing information. Frabill's site had me questioning even more. Maybe this post will help someone decide better.I am 6'1" and weight 183 lbs. Fairly decent shape, and wear a 34x34 in jeans. I went with the large bibs because of the inseam of 34. I believe the medium was 32, and I hate pants that are short. Well the larges are plenty big! I could weight 300lbs and pretty sure they'd still have room in front in the stomach. It's only nice for putting on over cloths and being able to reach into your jean pockets underneath. Plenty of room for layers, but I think the mediums would have been short. The length of these is perfect. Yes the shoulder straps are adjustable but the crotch kind of needs to be where it should be.Jacket is the exact same way, went with the large, but probably would have fit in the medium. I believe my suit jackets are 42. Went large because of the sleeve length. That is perfect, but enough room in the jacket for another 100 lbs of stomach. Oh well, I'll stick with these. Hope this review helps someone on sizing. It would have been nice to be able to try them on first but didn't have anything local.Ice picks are nice, pockets are nice, quality is great and it's warm. The finger pulls on all the zippers come in handy. The website I believe says removable hood, it is not. Well I suppose it would be if you cut it off, but no snaps or zipper to remove it.
