I have 3 of them, they work great for perch. only down side is fishing sub-zero temps.

I have only used it so far for Northern and Walleyes. Seems to work. Hardest part is finding a rod that will work with it.

This is a well built product - and it comes with a 20 year parts replacement warranty. The Ice melted in my area before I was able to use my Automatic Fisherman AFB Base. I have set it up and dry tested it with my (Frabill 371 Straight Line Bro Medium Light Combo 28" Ice Rod and Real) and it appears to work with little effort. YouTube shows the Automatic Fisherman AFB Base working really well. I plan to attach the base to my boat and see how well it works in open water. I will add to this review once I get a chance to really use my Automatic Fisherman AFB Base.Automatic Fisherman AFB Base
