What’s wrong with this picture? Right, it’s a battery powered studio strobe with a freaking power cord attached. Why, you ask? Because just like dozens, that’s dozens, of other buyers of this model..THEY SENT ME A TOTALLY DEAD BATTERY THAT WILL NOT CHARGE!Called Amazon, who responded, “…you bought it from a third party, so we can’t help you.” Called Adorama (the third party) and they responded, “…the only thing we can do for you is give you a refund AFTER you send the unit back to us…could take 7-10 days for your refund…” I did not need, and still do not want a refund, and was flying out of the country in two days.Bought and over-nighted the AC adaptor you see in the photo. Strobe works flawlessly (when it has power.). This one was the last unit added to my new studio strobe setup: Two XPLOR 600s, 1 Godox V1 speedlight, and this 600PRO TTL. They work together seamlessly all controlled by the XPRO transmitter, AND, somehow, the ETTL works with my Canon R5 bodies. So what’s the problem. STILL PITIFUL - NO CUSTOMER SERVICE HAVIN ADORAMA, kept me on hold for 20 minutes this time, then transferred me to the “product specialist” line, which promptly went to voicemail. That’s right, the customer service person said she COULD NOT HELP ME GET A REPLACEMENT BATTERY. And apparently the people who can help me, don’t work the same hours she does. This was my fault! I bought the 3 big strobes from Adorama (via Amazon) all within a day or so…and I read all the reviews on the two models thoroughly. The ONGOING problem with this specific battery IS DOCUMENTED OVER AND OVER, but still I tried “the benefit of doubt” route and got hosed. Oh, and when you finally find somebody that sells the replacement battery (Adorama by the way, so why the hell would you dare buy another one) THEY COST $180. I paid $120 for the AC adapter.I’m already sick of Adorama and will NEVER purchase, or recommend a purchase from them ever again. As for Amazon, I’ve been sick of them for years. They push the product through Prime, they hype the easy return, blah, blah, then they bail when it goes sideways. I have an item that was apparently lost back in November. Amazon took my money, stamped “YOUR ITEM MAY BE LOST” across the order and has said NOTHING else since.Sick of Amazon, and if they hide this negative review of their service and offerings…then don’t ask me to write any more reviews. SICK OF THIS COMPANY!

Don't even consider anything else BUT.... the device is sold by Adorama. My unit arrived today, 1 day ahead of schedule BUT it has the WRONG battery included with it ! Perhaps this was actually a product return where someone returned it with the wrong battery? The shipping box was not damaged but the product box, which was inside of a plastic bag, was covered with dust and dirt. Wassup with that?!? I had to spend 1 hours with Adorama's customer service, sending photos etc to get them to agree to overnight the correct battery. I've never had problems with Adorama before but this is a BIGGIE.As to the Flashpoint XPLOR 600 TTL, as the major lengthy reviews online will say, it's got plenty of power, can shoot over 400 flashes before a recharge, has very east to use, reliable and the TTL works great with mu SONY a6400.I am thankful that I bought this from Amazon as opposed to from Adorama and paid with Amex so I had plenty of recourse if Adorama did't sort this out immediately.

If you're doing research, make sure you get some sort of transmitter with this strobe. I've had a lot of people ask me about this strobe. In my opinion, I love it! Its easy to use and the rechargeable, cordless battery is awesome. If you're still unsure about this product, you could always Youtube this. There are a lot of great videos of people using this light.

The XPLOR 600 / Godox AD600 is just an amazing portable monolight. I love its ease of use and hadn't ever used TTL to any real extent before this. I have several Nikon SB-800s that I've used it on casually, but never in a more powerful environment. These monolights seem rock-solid so far. I've used one on a couple of shoots to get the feel for it and just purchased my second. I'm in Florida and do a lot of beach portraits. I needed something that could use HSS and do not like using ND filters. So far these guys are great for all my shooting. I plan to purchase the 1200ws expansion head (its powered off two units) once its available to really overpower the sun.My current setup is the Paul C. Buff Einstein with Vegabond Mini's for portable power. The only thing I miss so far is the 35% or so increase in freezing action. I'll probably still keep my Einstein's, but I don't see myself using them often anymore.

Overall satisfied with the product considering the low price tag for both the monolight and the transmitter. What I like:Long lasting battery durationRelatively easy controls for both the monolight and the transmitter.Portable. Not a as much as speedlights but free of cables, external battery packs, and external receivers. A couple of these flaspoints fit in the supplied bag, with room enough for extra gear.9 stops dynamic range. What's The surprise? Can be extended on the lower range by Approx. one stop down by using the ttl minus compensation function. That means if your ttl flashpoint is too bright even at 1/256, try ttl -1, -2 or -3 to lower the power bellow 1/256. It's a very useful feature, for that reason alone, I'd buy this ttl monolight instead of the manual version. What I Don't like:Too much plastic to my taste (handles, knobs, etc.)It fails, when both trigger and monolight are very close to each otherModeling lamp it's not bright enough
