The factory replacement pump has been upgraded to one that looks just like this. I put a cheaper pump on a year ago and it failed already. There seems to be a problem where the pulley attaches to the old pump and this one seems to have resolved that issue

Gave up on the cheap replacement pumps from Amazon. Replaced the original pump in a 15 year old Maytag washer last October 22. The first off brand pump, squealed and leaked almost immediately. I returned it and ordered another from a different manufacturer. It was noisy, but lasted until the end of May of 23 when it began leaking. Ordered another and out of the package, the bearing felt sticky and made an audible sound when turn by hand. It was noisy and leaked immediately. Returned it. Ordered this model, which was slightly more expensive, had decent reviews and was a different design, which was the same as the updated OEM Maytag replacement part.It installed easily, (I am getting pretty experienced replacing these pumps) and was quiet when running. I left the front off the washer for about a week, to check for leaks. On the 6th load of laundry, I noticed some water on the floor. I dried it up, hoping it was a fluke. A day later, I inspected the area by and underneath the washer, before starting a load of laundry. After the load finished there was water on the floor.Read the reviews, while inexpensive compared to the OEM ($90), the off brands tend to have issues.with noise, leaking and longevity.
