Ordered two of these and one got delivered missing the plastic bushing part of the striker. Must have never gotten the bushing in the package from Dorman. Exact fit for 2000 Chevy Pick-Ups.

I have a 2007 Sierra 3500HD... Great truck.A lot of "play" in the tailgate when it was secured.I replaced the striker bolts on both sides, now the tailgate closes snug... no more rattling. I wish I would have done this sooner.

I bought this tailgate striker to replace my old and worn out ones on my 2006 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. I have having issues with the tailgate staying closed and after doing some research, I checked this very same part on my truck and noticed it was almost completely worn out.The installation/replacement was extremely simple. Be advised you still need to remove the tail light in order to get to a washer that is on the inside, otherwise you’ll be spinning that bolt forever and it will never come out.Overall, I am very satisfied and glad I was able to find it on Amazon at a reasonable price over my local auto parts store.
