Transporting bikes in my truck has always been problematic. There's really no way to keep them from banning together damaging their finish or the truck's or both. This is a very clever design. It securely holds the bikes in place on the tailgate to keep them from falling over or banging against each other or the truck. I have a Chevy S10 so this is actually a bit big for my tailgate, but it still works if you squish it in. The instructions on how to use this thing are a bit vague and lacking detail, but I figured it out. Well designed.
