    About Graco
In 1942, Russell Gray and Robert Cone formed Graco Metal Products, in Philadelphia, PA. For 11 years, the firm fabricated machine and car parts for local manufacturers. In 1953, Gray left the firm, leaving Cone as sole owner. Cone decided to manufacture his own line of products, but had trouble coming up with ideas. Enter David Saint, an engineer, tinkerer, and stained glass artisan who worked for Graco. Saint, himself a father of nine, was intrigued when an associate told him how his wife would soothe their tired and cranky baby while swinging in a backyard glider swing. Acting on this inspiration, he went to the drawing board and 18 months of hard work later, the world's first wind-up infant swing, the Graco Swyngomatic, was born. Graco sold millions of Swyngomatics in the coming years, becoming one of the world's leading manufacturers of juvenile products in the process. Today, Graco is a Newell Rubbermaid company, with 1500 associates worldwide. While a half-century has brought many changes to Graco, their dedication and commitment to designing and manufacturing top-quality products remains, and continues on.

We purchased this stroller frame when we were preparing to fly for the holidays with our 3 month-old and felt daunted by the idea of lugging baggage, baby, car seat, and full-sized stroller across multiple airports and through security checks. We are SO glad we bought this! It made traveling exponentially easier. It's lighter than our stroller (we had purchased a Graco travel system and we love the stroller, but it is HEAVY and clunky), easy to fold, and pretty compact. I can easily fold and lift it with one hand. Plus, because the price is so reasonable, we felt better about risking any damage it might sustain in our travels--which would have been harder to shrug off with our more expensive full-sized stroller. The basket is a good size, although it IS easier to place items inside it BEFORE you put the carseat on the frame. The cup holders are a BIT flimsy and pop off sometimes if they catch on something, but they work well enough---although I will say that you should be careful to not hit any bumps when you've got a cup of liquid in the holder because it will spill everywhere. The lightness of the stroller frame is both a positive and a drawback---it doesn't maneuver bumps/potholes well because it is so light. Once we returned from our travels, we just kept it in the trunk of our car so we could snap it open for quick jaunts to the store, running errands, etc. We have a big baby (24 hours shy of his 6 month wellness check, but we estimate he's probably at about 20 pounds and close to 30 inches) and we use the frame with the Graco Snugride 35. So far he hasn't outgrown it and we still use it regularly. I would DEFINITELY recommend this to others!

bought this to use with my Graco 35 car seat, after many reccomendations from friends. car seat snaps in easy enough, but the stroller frame is a pain in the neck to open and to close - super awkward twist handle and lock thingy. it really doesn't fold up all that small - there are plenty of strollers that are way more compact. i could deal with all of this, but the handling is the killer - it's such a tank. bad engineering,

I was originally going to purchase a Uppa Baby stroller before my baby was born (retail cost about $600). However, on the recommendation of the Baby Bargains book (and in order to save some cash) I purchased this stroller frame because I had done my research and I was definitely purchasing a Graco Snugride car seat and because I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted in a stroller. The car seat is fantastic. This stroller frame is a good deal for the money because: (1) it is pretty lightweight, (2) the basket that sits under the car seat is very large (large enough to fit my large diaper bag, my purse, my camera bag and more), (3) it is easy to insert the Graco Snugride car seat into it, (4) it was very easy to assemble despite the fact that I believe that Graco manuals are more confusing than they need to be, and (5) it folds up into a relatively small size and easily fits in the back of my compact SUV. On the other hand, this is not my ideal stroller because: (1) the wheels are not permanently attached and sometimes fall off when you are trying to open and close it (although this has never happened when I have had the car seat in and the stroller is in use), (2) there is virtually no shock absorption in the wheels and so riding over bumpy sidewalks without waking up the baby can be tricky, and (3) the wheels nearest to you do not move and so it makes the stroller hard to manuever. In short is it nothing fancy. However, since I only paid approximately $50 for it, and it works pretty well, I think it is well worth the money.

I am very disappointed about this item.1)It is VERY VERY difficult to unfold even with TWO HANDS!2)It is not easy to drive on sturdy places. Front wheels are turning around and heading different directions.3)Once the carseat is snapped in place, it is VERY difficult to get any items in and out of the basket due to the fact that the carseat rests very low on the frame.4)It is not universal. It can only be used with Graco Car seats. So, the car seat selection is very tight. Graco Car seats are the cheapest and low quality car seats in the market.I could not refund this item but if I had a chance, I would. DO NOT BUY!

We bought this even though we have a big stroller/car seat combo. So why spend the extra money? The SnugRider is very light and doesn't take up as much room, so I can just leave it folded up in the back of our small car. It's also narrower than the big stroller, so it's easier to negotiate the aisles of crowded stores, etc. It's also great for those times when you have to "park in the ramp" and then lug the baby in the carseat through the elevator and skywalks or wherever until you get to a place with a shopping cart. (With the SnugRider you can still use a shopping cart - just fold it up and pop it in the cart.)The carseat snaps on easily and it feels very stable and secure. The other great thing is the height-adjustable handle. We are not tall people (5'5" and 5'8"), but we always had trouble with our older son's umbrella stroller - the handles are just a bit too low and caused lower back pain when we'd use it for long periods of time (like at the zoo). [What in the world do tall people do?!] The SnugRider is just the right height and the cushioned handles are comfortable. It took us awhile to get the hang of *quickly* opening and folding it, but once we realized that it folds up very much like a standard lawn chair, it was easy. That's important when it's freezing and you don't want to stand there with the hatch of your car open for long periods of time. The only complaint I have is that the cupholder is too small in diameter. (Let's face it, this is America and we have very large beverages with us at all times.) I also wish it had a seat that could snap in when the child gets older so that it could be used like an umbrella stroller.
