Since my new dishwasher drain hose and the garbage disposal did not fit together, the adapters that came with the dishwasher were either too large or too small, this adapter could easily be cut in the right place to make them fit without any leaks.

This connector is required when adding your dishwasher drain into your garbage disposal system. Brand name couplers cost twice as much if not more than this item, and they all do the same thing, connect a hose, to the garbage disposal inlet. They aren't complex, or expensive to make, so go with the cheapest version of this you can find. This one is made well, from the same materials, and serves its function perfectly in my new kitchen. The connections and spring clamps are perfectly adequate to do the job.
