Feels a little on the flimsy but so far has held up pretty well and the camera works great. Have had issues with others being slow to come on when I wire them to trigger with the backup lights (rather than always on) but this one comes right on!

Perfect fit and easy installation on 2005 Ram truck it was intended for.Previously I didn't have a backup camera, now I do... perfect solution for a problem I didn't know I had.View angle could be a bit better, but it stops me backing into objects I can see, so I guess, mission accomplished

First attempt came without the wiring, second came without gasket, luckily I didn't return it before replacement came so I kept that one. Took me longer to get around to installing than return window would allow. No instructions included, hooked up the power wires to the reverse lights at the rear and the red wire to the cam signal on the radio but it's not doing anything. Might be wired wrong but I have no way of knowing.

Product was really easy to install and fit in perfect like the original. The handle works really good not as heavy duty as original though camera shows good and wide angles, but quality of picture is not good. Works good enough to make sure nothing’s behind you but won’t be good for hooking up trailers.

I installed this Tailgate Backup Camera Handle on a 2006 Ram 1500 and the installation was straightforward. The included gasket is quite thin, but I used it since there was no gasket with the original handle. It's important to align the camera cable with the extension cable that runs to the cab carefully; once aligned, push them together until a positive CLICK is heard, indicating that the pins are in contact and the connection is sealed against water and dust. Post-installation, I noticed the handle requires a bit more travel to open the tailgate, possibly due to the material being more flexible than the original. I'll need to remove the tailgate access panel to investigate and see if I can adjust any slack or flex in the latch linkage or the new handle. I tapped into the truck's Reverse Lamp's 12V power wires to power the new backup camera. The view from the camera is excellent, offering a wide angle with minimal distortion, allowing me to clearly see my ball hitch, which makes attaching my utility trailer a quick, simple, one-person task. At night you may need more light for a clearer picture but, it is good enough for now. In the future I plan on replacing the Reverse bulbs with LED bulbs to get more light so I can visually see more in my mirrors and on camera as I back up at night.

Fit like OE and the picture quality and clarity were great. Worked with the after market Dual radio that was installed into the truck. I did have to use the included cable for the camera to work when the vehicle was put into reverse and to use the camera feature on the radio when ever desired. Would recommend
