Worked good for about 2 weeks , then started smelling gas when I drove my side by side and seemed to be using more fuel than normal . Yesterday was moving some brush and I noticed a leak underneath , low and behold the carburetor is BAD , fuel will not shut off , probably a bad float or needle valve . NOT HAPPY !!! , won't buy another one of these only lasted a couple weeks without any issues .

I should have listened to the reviews. The fuel inlet where bowl needle sits is just pushed in it it should have had a retainer to hold it in place you can see where it was casted for it but they failed to finish machining it. This cause fuel to keep flowing in to the carb even though the float needles was seated and close. The jets are hit the correct thread size so you could not even change them if you need to. Just don’t buy this junk

I was unable to use this carburetor. I purchased for my 2004 ranger 500. After installed the engine did start right up however fuel immediately started pouring out the carburetor vent tubes. This might work on a sportsman or Polaris with a vacuum fuel pump, but does not work on ranger with electric fuel pumps.

2003 ranger 500 replacement would not fit but parts will fit in your old ranger carb to repair.

Polaris dealer told me they stop making this carburetor for my ranger CAN'T TELL perfect fit put this carburetor on and fired right up thanks
